Splatfest Plaza or Splatfest Plaza (Instrumental) always play on Saturdays

Inkopolis Plaza appears as a stage in Super Smash Bros. Dream. It is home to Inkling.

Layout[edit]

The stage is a traveling stage, comparable to Lumiose City or Delfino Plaza. It starts out as a walk-off stage in the center of the plaza with the tower in the background. Several Inklings and Jellyfish can be seen wandering around in the background. A platform will eventually pick the fighters up, carry them around the tower, and then lands them in front of the screen where Inkopolis News is broadcast. The raised walkway serves as a soft platform, while the pillars work as walls, creating an area where opponents can be bounced around easily. The paths split here - sometimes the platform will take the fighters far away to the Octo Valley hub and battle on top of Cap'n Cuttlefish's shack, while other times it will take the battle along the subway line to Urchin Underpass and battle in the back alleyway with the glass. Either way, after this the platform will go to the top of Inkopolis Tower, stay there for awhile, and then land back at the center of the plaza before starting over.

If battling on a Saturday, the fight takes place at nighttime and Callie and Marie can be seen performing on trucks for a Splatfest with the Inklings and Jellyfish dancing. The Splatfest theme is randomly chosen from any of the previous themes from the respective region.

Its competitively viable form stays on the platform at the top of Inkopolis Tower.

Origin[edit]

Inkopolis Plaza is the main hub of Splatoon. In it, Inklings that you have recently battled against can be seen wandering around or talking, and you can talk to them to see their most recent Miiverse post or order their clothes from Spyke. The screen with the raised walkway also appears, and when standing on the walkway players can see Callie and Marie talking in a studio, and they will wave at the player if they look at them for a few seconds. The screen is also where Inkopolis News is broadcast at the beginning of every play session and every four hours. Urchin Underpass was one of the first stages in the game, while the shack in Octo Valley is owned by Cap'n Cuttlefish, who gives tips throughout the game, and can be seen in the Octo Valley hub where players can go to the different levels. Inkopolis Tower is the main attraction of Inkopolis Plaza, and underneath it is where Inklings go for Turf Wars. Splatfest is an event that happens semi-regularly, where the Squid Sisters can be seen performing in Inkopolis Plaza and every battle takes place at night. However, the Octo Valley hub area never takes place at night, unlike in Super Smash Bros.
