Callie & Marie (アオリ&ホタル, Aori & Hotaru), AKA the Squid Sisters (シオカラーズ, Shiokarazu), appear in Super Smash Bros. Dream as an Assist Trophy.

As an Assist Trophy

When summoned from an Assist Trophy, Callie & Marie will appear and do their "Stay fresh!" pose before vanishing. They then return from either side of the screen, Callie wielding a Roller and Marie wielding a Charger, and proceed to cover the stage in ink. If a fighter besides the summoner is hit by Callie's Roller, they will take damage and be buried, while if they are hit by a shot from Marie's Charger, they will take massive damage and knockback. The ink Callie & Marie leave behind lowers speed and does steady damage to anyone standing in it except the Squid Sisters' summoner (like a flower from Lip's Stick). The ink will remain for ten seconds after Callie & Marie vanish. Callie & Marie can also each be KO'd by attacking them and knocking them off the screen. This will keep them from covering the entirety of the stage and make it easier to avoid their ink.

On rare occasions, they spawn wearing their Agents 1 & 2 outfits.

Callie

This female Inkling is one half of the famous Inkopolis group, the Squid Sisters! She's a little more... enthusiastic than her sister, Marie, and is also quite punny. Also different from Marie, she prefers Roller-type weapons, and can be seen wielding one when she joins the battle as an Assist Trophy. Just don't get caught under it, or you'll get buried in ink!

Agent 1

A mysterious member of the new Squidbeak Splatoon. Agent 1 appears alongside Agent 2 when Capp'n Cuttlefish is kidnapped by DJ Octavio to support Agent 3 with helpful tips... or more often useless puns. She may look like Callie of the Squid Sisters, but we assure you, she's not. At least, that's what she forced us to say.

Marie

This female Inkling is one half of the famous Inkopolis group, the Squid Sisters! Unlike her sister, Callie, she's more laid-back and mature, and sometimes a little snarky. Also different from Callie, she prefers Charger-type weapons, and can be seen wielding one when she joins the battle as an Assist Trophy. Whatever you do, don't get sniped!

• The ending of Agents 1 & 2's trophy descriptions is a reference to the ninth European Splatfest, Fitness vs. Money, where Callie was on team Fitness (to be tougher) and Marie was on team Rich (to pay people to do what she wants them to).
