Elsa is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream. She was confirmed on January 8th by DatNuttyKid, despite his to-do list clearly showing the next character he would reveal to be Tohru.

Attributes

Elsa is a slow and powerful character, and many of her attacks have a chance of freezing opponents. However, she has low defense and is rather lightweight, which, combined with her lack of speed, makes her easy to KO.

Moveset

Standard Attacks

• Neutral: Elsa throws a small snowball.
• F-Tilt: Elsa holds out her hand and an icy wind is released from it, which has a chance of freezing opponents.
• U-Tilt: Elsa holds her hand above herself and an icy wind is released from it, which has a chance of freezing opponents.
• D-Tilt: Elsa holds her hand out while ducking and an icy wind is released from it, which has a chance of freezing opponents.
• Dash: Elsa holds out both of her hands, which creates an icicle in front of her, which launches any opponents on top of it skyward and has a chance of freezing them.
• F-Smash: Elsa stomps her foot, making the ground in front of her icy, and anyone standing on it is frozen.
• U-Smash: Elsa makes an arch of snow above herself, which has a chance of freezing anyone who collides with it.
• D-Smash: Elsa stomps her foot, which makes the ground on either side of her icy, but not as far as the forward smash. Anyone standing on it is frozen.
• N-Air: Elsa spins around, releasing snow from her hands that has a chance of freezing opponents.
• F-Air: Elsa holds out her hand and releases an icy wind, which has a chance of freezing opponents.
• B-Air: Elsa kicks behind herself.
• U-Air: Elsa blasts icy wind from both of her hands in opposite diagonal directions above herself.
• D-Air: Elsa forms an icicle and drops it beneath her. Anyone hit by it is spiked and possibly frozen.
• Grab: Elsa grabs the opponent.
  • Pummel: Elsa blasts the opponent with ice.
  • F-Throw: Elsa creates a snowball around the opponent before throwing them.
  • B-Throw: Elsa tosses the opponent.
  • U-Throw: Elsa tosses the opponent above herself and blasts them with ice.
  • D-Throw: Elsa freezes the opponent.
• Floor-F: As Elsa stands up, the ground around her freezes for a few seconds, which will freeze anyone who touches it.
• Floor-B: As Elsa stands up, the ground around her freezes for a few seconds, which will freeze anyone who touches it.
• Floor-T: As Elsa stands up, the ground around her freezes for a few seconds, which will freeze anyone who touches it.
• Edge: As Elsa climbs up, the ledge freezes, making it impossible to be grabbed for a few seconds, as anyone who collides with it will be frozen.
• Neutral Special - Snowball Shot: Elsa creates a snowball and throws it. The longer the button is held, the larger the snowball will be.
  • Custom 1 - Giant Snowball: The snowball is automatically mid-sized with no charging, but doesn't go as far.
  • Custom 2 - Double Snowball: The snowball cannot be charged, but Elsa throws two of them - one in either direction.
• Side Special - Icicle Shield: Elsa makes a wall of icicles in front of her. If an attack hits the wall, it will start moving towards the attacker, doing damage and freezing them.
  • Custom 1 - Icicle Ram: The icicles move forwards by default, but do not stop attacks.
  • Custom 2 - Double Shield: Elsa makes a wall of icicles on either side of her, but they do not function like a counter.
• Up Special - Flurry Boost: An icy wind carries Elsa upwards, also freezing anyone it hits.
  • Custom 1 - Giant Flurry: The wind carries Elsa further, but cannot freeze opponents
  • Custom 2 - Deadly Flurry: The wind does damage as well as freezing opponents, has more range, but doesn't carry Elsa as far.
• Down Special - Snowgie Sneeze: Elsa sneezes, creating a Snowgie, which functions identically to a Mr. Saturn. With each consecutive use, the Snowgie gets smaller and less effective, until finally Elsa cannot make one at all.
  • Custom 1 - Projectile Sneeze: The Snowgie is automatically launched as a projectile and cannot break shields, but can be used multiple times in a row without a problem.
  • Custom 2 - Gigantic Sneeze: The Snowgie is much larger and does more damage. However, creating one completely drains Elsa's ability to make them, and it takes longer to recharge.
• Final Smash - Marshmallow: Elsa creates Marshmallow and rides on his back. Hitting the neutral attack button has Marshmallow swipe with his fist, while hitting with the special attack button has him blow an icy wind.

Taunts

• Up Taunt: Elsa poses and winks.
• Side Taunt: Elsa creates a Snowgie on her shoulder and smiles at it before it vanishes.
• Down Taunt: Elsa holds a snowflake in her hand.

On-Screen Appearance

Elsa climbs down her ice stairway and then dissipates it.

Idle Poses

• Elsa fiddles with her hair.
• Elsa scratches her arm.

Victory Fanfare

A remix of the ending of For The First Time In Forever. (Specifically, Anna's "For the first time in forever, nothing's in my way")

Reveal trailer

The trailer opens up with the Ice Climbers climbing up a large, snowy mountain, with Nana almost falling before being caught by Popo. When they reach the top, they see Elsa's ice palace and climb up the stairs and into the palace, where Elsa is standing. Her introduction tagline appears, and then she hurls a snowball at the screen.

The rest of the trailer has her battling with the Ice Climbers and various other fighters, demonstrating her moves, animations, and costumes.

This is Elsa the Snow Queen. For years, she had to keep her ice and snow powers a secret after an accident nearly killed her beloved sister, Anna. But after a great adventure started by Anna trying to get married to a man she had barely known for an hour, Elsa now rules the kingdom of Arendelle (with her sister by her side) and is accepted for who she is. Her ice powers are a force to be reckoned with, even in Smash Bros!

Elsa (Alt.)

Whenever Elsa sneezes, a tiny little snowman called a Snowgie appears. In Super Smash Bros., she can use these Snowgies as weapons of mass shield-destruction, just like a certain creature from Saturn Valley. However, trying this multiple times in a row causes the Snowgies to become smaller and less effective, and eventually Elsa will run out of sneezes, so it's important to plan your usage of them well.
