==Trivia== | |||
*Prerelease screenshots show that three song titles were changed during development: "Ballad of the Goddess/Ghirahim's Theme" was originally just "Ballad of the Goddess", "Saria's Song/Middle Boss Battle" was originally just "Saria's Song", and "Bramble Blast" from ''Brawl'' was changed to "Stickerbush Symphony". The latter applies for {{for3ds}} as well. | |||

Latest revision as of 22:44, October 13, 2024
The music in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U includes a wide variety of tracks. It consists of pieces taken directly from other Nintendo games and games with third-party representation, nearly all of the remixes from previous Super Smash Bros. titles, and brand new arrangements made especially for the Wii U version. The music collection is roughly twice as large as the previous home-console Smash game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the audio quality has been noticeably improved.
Most of the music can be listened to in the game using the Sounds feature, though there are several tracks from the game that do not appear in the menu.
There are in total 494 tracks in Sound Test available.
Sounds track list[edit]
Much like in Brawl, the Sounds menu is accessible by default and does not need to be unlocked. However, several tracks must be unlocked themselves via various methods. Others only appear in the list if a DLC purchase is made.
The following is the full track list of the Music portion of the Sounds menu in the game, with the "Series" sort order selected (with the exception of the Super Smash Bros. series as detailed below). Note that the game shows every track in a single large list; the original series names are not explicitly mentioned, and the ones on this page are unofficial.
Super Smash Bros.[edit]
In the game, the first three tracks (Menu, Battlefield, and Final Destination) are placed at the top of the list, while the rest (Results Display Screen onwards) are listed on the bottom underneath the Nintendo section.

Opening | [496] | - | The theme for Super Smash Bros. 4 that plays during the opening scene. It is similar to the Battlefield theme, but it begins differently, omits a section, and has an ending similar to the soundtrack CD version of Battlefield (rather than looping continuously like the game version). This opening theme includes the sound effect that plays when the game's logo appears at the end of the scene, which the CD version of Battlefield doesn't include. | Source: Original |

Trivia[edit]
- Prerelease screenshots show that three song titles were changed during development: "Ballad of the Goddess/Ghirahim's Theme" was originally just "Ballad of the Goddess", "Saria's Song/Middle Boss Battle" was originally just "Saria's Song", and "Bramble Blast" from Brawl was changed to "Stickerbush Symphony". The latter applies for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as well.
