Tweek is an SSBUDiddy Kong player from Burlington, New Jersey, considered the best Diddy Kong player of all-time, the best Sephiroth player in the United States when he actively uses the character, as well as one of the best overall players in the world. He has previously mained several characters, including Chrom, Wolf, Wario, and Pokémon Trainer, and has also shown proficiency with a variety of other characters, including Sephiroth, Joker, Roy, and Young Link. Tweek was considered the best Wolf, Wario, and Pokémon Trainer player in the world when he mained the characters. He is currently ranked 4th on the OrionRank 2022 North America and 7th on the LumiRank 2023; he was also formerly ranked 0th on the Ohio Smash Ultimate Power Rankings and 1st on the New Jersey Ultimate Power Rankings and is an Honorable Mention on the Wi-Fi Warrior Rank v7 due to inactivity.
In SSB4, he was considered to be the best Bayonetta player in the world at the end of Smash 4's lifespan, and one of the two best of all time, along with Salem; the best Donkey Kong player in the world; and one of the best Cloud players in the world, alongside MkLeo. Originally a Bowser Jr. player, he was considered the best Bowser Jr. player in the world prior to dropping the character, and was a pioneer of Bowser Jr.'s metagame. Since then, no other Bowser Jr. player has matched his accomplishments, and many players still consider Tweek the strongest Bowser Jr. player to date. Tweek was formerly ranked 1st on the Ohio Smash 4 Power Rankings, 7th on the Panda Global Rankings 100, and 4th on the New Jersey Smash 4 Power Rankings.
Tweek was sponsored by Phoenix1 as their first Smash player from February 10, 2017 to May 17, 2018.[1] He was signed by Team SoloMid from January 24th, 2019 to February 28th, 2023.[2][3] Tweek was signed by Luminosity Gaming along with MkLeo on March 23rd, 2023.[4]
Tweek has a very methodical, punish-heavy style of playing with all his characters. This style has very clear strengths, like being able to kill very early when Tweek reads a panic option; however, it is also susceptible to strong defense in the neutral. Because Tweek often uses his character's high-risk-high-reward combo starters in neutral, he can frustrate himself when he does not get an early advantage. His switch to Bayonetta in Smash 4 saw an increase in consistency to his results as Bayonetta's Witch Twist is a strong, safe combo starter. His Cloud was infamous for refusing to use Limit on the first stock to preserve the movement and recovery buff and also potentially land an early kill on his opponent's second stock.
Throughout much of Ultimate's history, Tweek has shown great skill in a diverse range of the game's cast, able to take games off of top players with over seven different characters. This ability was so extreme that it enabled him to reach Grand Finals of EVO with Pokémon Trainer after only maining them for a couple of months. However, this same talent also led to a problem for Tweek; an inability to stay with a set character. Until finding his footing with Diddy Kong, Tweek had been known to sporadically counterpick his opponents with varying results, where at times it can be argued that if he consistently stuck with a single character he could have found better success.
With Diddy Kong, Tweek maintains an extremely execution-heavy playstyle, which relies on an overall patient gameplan, waiting for his opponent to make mistakes before unleashing an explosive punish game that is unique amongst Diddy Kong players. He is known for his incredible creativity with Banana Peel in all aspects of the game, whether it be ledge-trapping, edge-guarding, combos, or disadvantage, Tweek has taken the core aspect of Diddy's gameplan to a higher level.
Tweek, along with MkLeo and Zackray, is notable for frequently switching mains, which has brought light teasing from the community.
Tweek has a winning streak at even numbered Glitch events, winning Glitch 4, Glitch 6, and Glitch 8.
Tweek flips his hair with his hands during sets, which he has stated is a nervous tic.
Tweek is a very big fan of the Donkey Kong Country series, even naming his cat "Tiny Kong" after a character from Donkey Kong 64.
Tweek has won the largest cash prize in Smash history, winning $47,739.30 at Smash Ultimate Summit 3.
Tweek is known for talking about his hatred towards Sheik and Sonic on stream.
Tweek has his own podcast sessions on his YouTube channel called "Tweek Talks" where he discusses Ultimate's metagame with Pink Fresh, Charles Thoren and HazMatt. [1]
Tweek is the only player to win a major tournament every year that Ultimate has been in release.
It was revealed in 2023 that Tweek has been suffering from Tendonitis, which has been hindering his play.
