The Big House 10 was a Super Smash Bros. regional, Super Smash Bros. Melee supermajor, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major tournament which took place from October 7th-9th, 2022 in Detroit, Michigan. The top 3 non-qualified players in Melee and Ultimate qualified for the Panda Cup Finale, and the highest-placing non-qualified Melee player qualified for Smash Summit 14. Golden Guardians added a $10,000 pot bonus to the Melee singles prize pool. Other events included Smash Sisters and Under-16 for Melee and Ultimate, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Rivals of Aether, and Splatoon 3.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tenth installment of The Big House was initially switched into an online tournament called The Big House Online, which was scheduled to be held from December 4th-6th, 2020. However, a cease-and-desist from Nintendo of America that would prevent the tournament from using the Project Slippi mod to enable online Melee play led to the tournament's cancellation. The Big House would later return as an offline event and was announced to be held at its current date, making this the first event in The Big House series since 2019.

WaDi and ESAM played an Ironman in Ultimate, using all 89 characters with 1 stock each. Donations benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation challenged the players to compete under unusual circumstances. With Plup dropping out from the event due to sickness, ESAM became his replacement.

Trivia[edit]
- aMSa's tournament victory marks the first Melee major (as well as first Melee supermajor) won by a Yoshi player.
- This marks the first time a Melee player who is not one of the Five Gods has won a Big House tournament since Lovage’s victory at the first Big House.
- Additionally, this is the first major Melee tournament won with a new character since Smash Summit 8 (over three years prior), where Axe won with Pikachu.
- This is also the first major Melee tournament won by a player from Japan. However, aMSa was living in Canada at the time of the tournament.
- Similar to aMSa, Riddles's victory marked the first Ultimate major won by a Kazuya player.
- In addition to The Big House 10 being the first major win for both players, aMSa and Riddles both faced off against a Fox player (Mango and Light, respectively) in Grand Finals before winning the tournament.
- Both players live in Canada and had a prior peak placing of 2nd at a tournament for their respective main games.
- Both players are also avid Melee fans; throughout his tournament run, Riddles used the ingame tag "ISAI*" in order to pay homage to Isai.
- With Riddles' victory, every character in Fighters Pass Vol. 2 has been successfully utilized in order to win an Ultimate major.
- Soonsay was the only player in Winners' Quarters for Melee who had not been invited to Smash Summit 14.
- Plup arrived on time for the tournament, but dropped out upon learning that he had caught the flu.[1]
- Leffen was double eliminated by Canadian players (Soonsay and Moky) for 17th, his lowest placement in Melee singles since The Big House 6 six years prior.
- During Game 4 of 2Saint vs S2J in Melee singles, 2saint landed a phantom Rest that would have otherwise closed out the set in their favor. S2J would end up winning the set in the following Game 5. On commentary, Toph humorously referred to the incident as "karmic restoration" for S2J's set vs. Abate at The Big House 5 (which S2J lost due to a set-ending stomp being negated by the invisible ceiling glitch).
- Due to concerns over copyright, every time Hollow Bastion was selected in Ultimate singles, the game audio was muted and overlaid with a different song.
- This tournament marks the first time an Ike player (PsyKoD) reached top 12 at a North American Ultimate major since MkLeo at Frostbite 2019 in 2019.
- This tournament marks the first time Spud has competed in Melee singles in over two and a half years.
