The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. The Big House 6 was a national Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament held in Dearborn, Michigan from October 7th-9th, 2016. It was the sixth edition of Juggleguy's prestigious Midwest tournament series.
The competition was fierce for both games. In Melee, the four active Gods Armada, Hungrybox, Mango, and Mew2King were present, as well as all the other American top players such as Plup, Axe, SFAT, Wizzrobe, and PewPewU. Europe was also well represented with Ice, Professor Pro, and Android participating. The Big House 6 was notable for having high-level international attendees such as Rudolph from Japan and Spud from New Zealand. It was also Leffen's first tournament in the United States in over a year, although he ended up sandbagging.
In Smash 4, 27 of the 50 Panda Global Rankings v1 ranked players were in attendance, including the defending champion ZeRo, the EVO 2016 champion Ally, Nairo, Dabuz, ANTi, Mr.R, VoiD, Abadango, komorikiri, Larry Lurr and many others. Unranked threats such as Kameme (who had recently placed 2nd at EVO) and Salem (who had made his breakthrough in the top echelon of players at Collision XIV) were additional contenders for 1st place.
The Big House 6 is the thirteenth largest Smash tournament of all time. It currently stands as the fifth largest Melee tournament of all time as well as the fourteenth largest Smash 4 tournament.

Trivia[edit]
- The Big House 6 is the first US tournament Leffen was able to enter since HTC Throwdown one year before due to issues receiving a worker's visa. As a result, he decided not to take singles seriously and opted to play Marth and Falco, getting 17th place.
- This tournament is notable for the many upsets that occurred during Super Smash Bros. Melee's bracket, including Silent Wolf's victory over Mew2King, Zain's victory over Plup, and R2DLiu's victory over Axe.
