I will brawl anyone that challenges me, regardless of their skill level. If you want to Brawl me, contact me here or on the IRC. If you do brawl me, be sure to have tourney rules set unless noted otherwise. I can additionally wifi you in Project M and Brawl Minus. I'm semi-active on IRC, and due to my inconsistent sleeping patterns, you can find me on there in the most unusual of hours.
If there's something you wish to speak to me privately, and cannot catch me on IRC (or cannot use IRC for whatever reason), you can contact me with email.
MLG
The copyright info thing is still a guess. No leads from either MLG or Nintendo. There's too little time for Brawl Qualifiers anyway for MLG to reverse the decision. --BrianDon't try me! 13:59, 8 May 2014 (EDT)
Random Match
i'll be up for Brawl after lunch (so about half an hour from now) if you're still up for the random character thing. We need to discuss things more real-time, maybe. ♡FirstaLasto♥ 14:43, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

Going semi-inactive while traveling for a month
Starting Thursday, I'm going to be traveling for a few conferences until early July. I'll still be on some, but I won't be as active or lurking as much. I doubt this will be a big problem, but if you'd prefer I can ban every active user and protect all pages until I get back. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 00:24, 21 May 2014 (EDT)
- Give me mod powers and I'll do it for you, plus I'll switch the default layout to Vector. blue ninjakoopa 00:46, 21 May 2014 (EDT)
- I indeed think that is a necessary measure. Omega Tyrant 17:50, 21 May 2014 (EDT)
Is it possible to permanently ban IPs?
If so, can you ban me please? --69.244.174.29 07:35, 26 May 2014 (EDT)
- It's possible, but it's a stupid idea and we'll never do it because IPs change over time. Toomai Glittershine The Chronicler 10:14, 26 May 2014 (EDT)

I highly apologize if I'm coming off as a stickler here...
...but you said you would delay my un-probation a week, and it's just a couple of days away from becoming double that. With all due respect, seeing the editing dispute on the AI page you're currently in, and whatever you've been doing off the computer that caused this to get delayed further, take as much time as you need. Just putting this out there though. MeatBall104; Get In Mah Belleh!!! 13:40, 30 May 2014 (EDT)

I heard Melee Powershied reflection has returned.
Can you confirm or deny?--BrianDon't try me! 15:39, 14 June 2014 (EDT)
- In the footage I've watched, I haven't seen anyone actually power shield stuff, so I can't confirm its status at the moment. Omega Tyrant 15:44, 14 June 2014 (EDT)
- I see. I heard Marth also got more lag on aerials, his dash dance was shorted even more, and that dair was not fixed. Is there footage of that?--BrianDon't try me! 15:45, 14 June 2014 (EDT)
- Marth's aerial lag looks no noticeably different, and remember that this is still a demo, so unless it's a significant change, I wouldn't put much stock in lag/power tweaks. Regarding dair, I recall seeing it meteor when it wasn't really tipped, and it seemed to have a lot less aerial ending lag (landing lag though was still heavy). Omega Tyrant 15:58, 14 June 2014 (EDT)
- That looks promising. Let me know what else you find on my talk page or facebook. Also if Powershielding is back, the first thing you should test it on is the beetle. :p --BrianDon't try me! 16:37, 14 June 2014 (EDT)

Melee powershield reflection is indeed back: [1]. Chilex (talk) 03:05, 29 July 2014 (EDT)
- That's the Brawl style powershield "reflection". Projectiles bounce off and become harmless. Notice that the fireball didn't hit the sender and reflected at a strange angle. ♡FirstaLasto♥ 03:09, 29 July 2014 (EDT)

Wondering about editing
As you are aware of, I (or some random guy, as you know me) had edited what I had thought to be a slightly controversial topic in a paragraph of Sonic's SSBB page. I had done this because it seemed to give a slight misconception regarding individual traits of him. I'm not ranting nor trolling about this, just so you know. I was just wondering about the phrase "one of the worst movesets". Not only is it completely general until the "either this or that" point, but there are too many false assumptions that could arise from readers unfamiliar with Sonic. After all, the moveset is what helps the player win, and a fighter with lackluster moves is... well... more or less Pichu, so I'd think it's kind of an exaggeration. I'm not looking for any phrase in particular or anything. It's just my idea. Getting my point here? Feedback? Opinion? Thanks. Man, that was a long thing to write... 70.64.149.212 17:45, 27 June 2014 (EDT)
- "Sonic additionally possesses what is considered one of the worst movesets, which outside his special moves, consists nearly entirely of terrible to mediocre moves that either possess little utility, or are outclassed by similar moves of other characters."
- The paragraph explains what it means in a concise manner.
- "and a fighter with lackluster moves is... well... more or less Pichu"
- This is in itself an exaggeration, as there are many, many things, that go into determining how effective a character is. If you think moves alone determines how good a character is, then you are not qualified to be writing about what makes a character effective/ineffective. Sonic may have a bottom tier moveset, but he has the aforementioned incredible mobility that allows him to run circles around everyone, along with other significant caveats that push him into the middle tiers.
- "so I'd think it's kind of an exaggeration.
- As a top five Sonic player, and one of the most knowledgeable Smash players there is, once said in response to someone saying Sonic has one of the worst movesets;
“ | At first I wanted to make a big stink about this and calll you out and all.
But then I thought about it. And I remembered that up air is one of our main kill moves and its literally one of the 5 weakest up airs in the game. And that our main kill move is almost 3 times slower than MKs down smash and still somehow manages to be the same strength. And that we have one of the worst jabs in the game. and that our fastest worthwhile move is 6 frames and is bad. and that our bair is like a combination of foxs and falcos bairs while only taking the worst aspects of both and putting them together. Were also one of the 6? characters that doesnt have a spike. Sonics moveset is mostly awful. which pisses me off to no end because they could have easily made it way better. Just give up air foxs up air knockback. or make f smash 10 frames instead of 17. Or let jab do more than 7%. Or give dair the same knockback angle as ZSSs dair Think about that last one. Do you know how amazing would sonic be if he could go offstage and weak spike anyone he wanted and still make it back to the stage. Thats all I really want. a dair that sends people down or sideways like MK... like EVERYONE seems to have. As it stands now the absurd amount of versatility in his b moves is the only thing keeping him afloat right now. /saltrant |

I wasn't saying moveset alone wins the match, and the Pichu comparison is nothing more than a joke (on a related note, Pichu's tremendous evasive abilities would slide him up the tier list a moderate amount if not for his self-damaging yet otherwise somewhat passable attacks). I really didn't want to make any huge debate about this, though, as it was only an idea. Sorry for your troubles. 70.64.149.212 18:44, 28 June 2014 (EDT)
- If you want to get into hypotheticals, if Sonic's dashing speed was a tad bit slower, and he didn't have his Spin Dashes, he would have been bottom tier and possibly been the worst character in Brawl :p Omega Tyrant 20:04, 28 June 2014 (EDT)
AI Exploits.
I posted an example on your facebook, but in general how do you make CPUs go offstage to kill themselves, for example making them air dodge in midair or baiting them to jump off with an attack you can then punish.--BrianDon't try me! 19:32, 18 July 2014 (EDT)
Also how would I make them roll to the edge so I can kill them with Fox/Falco's down throw?--BrianDon't try me! 19:34, 18 July 2014 (EDT)
- In Melee, unless it's over a pit, CPUs will pretty much never go offstage intentionally, unless it's Mario, Dr. Mario, or Captain Falcon (who are programmed to jump at you with fair/dair respectively). For those three, it's a simple act of jumping offstage while remaining close to the stage, and then air dodging through them when they attack. On stages with pits, you can simply stand near the ledge or hang off the ledge, and then they will drop off to attack you.
