The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Battlefield (戦場 Senjō) is a stage in both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. 4, which was first shown during the Nintendo Direct of E3 2013, where its 3DS variant was the first stage in the game to be confirmed for the game. Battlefield was also the first stage in the Wii U game to be demonstrated. During the Developer Direct, the Menu (Super Smash Bros. Melee) music track from Super Smash Bros. Brawl could be heard playing while the Nintendo 3DS version of Battlefield was shown.
Overview
Like the Battlefield stage in Super Smash Bros., in Super Smash Bros. Melee and in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it consists of a central, solid platform, with ledges at the side that can be grabbed. Above this platform, there are three more soft platforms, arranged in a triangular layout.
In the same manner as the Battlefield stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the background will shift between the time of day, to show a day, evening, night, and dawn appearance.
On the Nintendo 3DS, Battlefield's appearance shows trees, a floating archway with stairs, and pillars of rock. The stage houses a pool of water, which drains off the front of the stage. The Wii U version is surrounded by floating islands, and colosseums.
