He is considered one of the best Mario players in SoCal along with Masta, and is currently ranked 8th on the SoCal Ultimate Power Rankings. He has taken sets off of players such as MkLeo, Jakal, Chag, MKBigBoss, Lui$, Monte, Justice, and Kurama.
In SSB4, Zenyou is a Mario main with Sheik and Fox secondaries, he is considered one of the best Mario players in the world, behind Ally and ANTi. He is renowned for his potent combo and punish game, considered the most extensive and developed among Mario players. Zenyou is currently ranked 4th on the SoCal Smash 4 All-Time Power Rankings and 61st on the Panda Global Rankings 100. He has taken sets off of top players such as Nairo, Ally, Mr.R, VoiD, Samsora, Fatality, Abadango, and Larry Lurr.
His breakout performance was at The Big House 5, where he qualified for Top 32 Winners, before losing to Nairo. In Losers, he defeated Shel, Fatality, and Seagull Joe, before succumbing to ZeRo, ending his run at 7th. Later, he would push ZeRo to the brink at 2GGC: GENESIS Saga, taking him to last game, last stock situation.
Playing style
Zenyou's playstyle is highly regarded for his punishing combo game, making extensive usage of Mario's tilts to begin and extend combos, and for his ability to reliably follow up into kill confirms.

Controversy
Homophobia and transphobia
Zenyou was removed from coaching website Metafy on June 5th, 2023[1] in response to homophobic and transphobic remarks he made on Twitter and Twitch,[2][3] and being defensive of his statements once exposed about it, stating "Its a free country, talk your shit :) / It'd be hypocritical of me to state my opinion without being willing to let you guys state yours / Twitter be how Twitter be, but insults bounce off me like bullets on Superman"[4] Additionally, an anonymous user alleged Zenyou hit on them when they were 16 years old, showing Skype chat logs from 2015.[5] Zenyou denied these allegations.[6]
