K9sbruce (almost always referred to as K9) is a smasher from Arizona who plays Meta Knight and Falco in Brawl, Meta Knight in Project M, Sheik and Diddy Kong in Smash 4, and Diddy Kong in Ultimate.
In Brawl, K9sbruce was formerly ranked 82nd on the 2014 SSBBRank.
In Smash 4, he is ranked 1st on the Las Vegas Smash 4 Power Rankings, 7th on the SoCal All-Time Smash 4 Power Rankings, and 62nd on the Panda Global Rankings 100. He has wins over top players such as Larry Lurr, VoiD, CaptainZack, Marss, ESAM, MVD, Shuton, and Elegant.
In Ultimate, K9sbruce was formerly ranked 3rd on the Arizona Ultimate Power Rankings and 15th on the SoCal Ultimate Power Rankings. He also has wins over Salem, 6WX, yeti, Nitro, and Cosmos. He was power ranked with multiple characters, including Diddy Kong, Wolf, Lucina, and Sheik.

- K9bruce's goal is to become the king of Smash and will often shout "I will be the king of Smash" after winning a set.
- However, he later stated that he no longer has the ambition to be the "king of Smash", although he promises to still play his best. [4]
- K9sbruce is infamous for his frequent outbursts whenever he loses (or wins) a match or the entire set. He got this from another smasher by the name of KiraFlax (Notable examples can be seen here).
- One of his most notable moments has been turned into a GIF and has become a recurring representation of salt in the community.
- However, he has expressed his intention to stop reacting so angrily to losses, and his outbursts have been far less intense and frequent since then.
