Team Healer: Difference between revisions
(Pointed out that teammates on Team Attack, cleared Stamina battle info, moved some important trivia into the main body. Finally, the value section needs work; those values aren't all that right.) |

It will only appear in Team Battles, provided the Item Switch settings allow for it. A player that grabs the sphere can heal a teammate by throwing the item at his/her character (as such, the player can't use the item on themselves). However, if it hits an opponent instead, it will either deal 8% damage with medium non-fixed knockback, or heal them by 11%; damage is more likely to occur. Oddly, the same also applies if it hits a teammate while Team Attack is on. The amount allies are healed is based on the amount of damage they currently have, with higher amounts recovering relatively more than lower amounts. Unlike other healing items, if eaten it will have no effect. The Ice Climbers are capable of using the item on each other as teammates. | ||

Example numbers
Note that, in the same way that thrown items deal more damage if moving faster, the Team Healer will recover more damage if moving faster. These numbers represent a throw on the strong side.
Damage before | Damage after | Amount healed (ratio) |
---|---|---|
23% | 0% | 100.0% |
24% | 1% | 95.8% |
30% | 5% | 83.3% |
50% | 16% | 68.0% |
100% | 51% | 49.0% |
200% | 121% | 39.5% |
300% | 191% | 36.3% |
999% | 680% | 31.9% |
In HP matches, the amount healed is a little more than the equivalent percentage. (ex.: if 100 HP are lost, the player the Team Healer is thrown at will recover 50 HP; outside of a Stamina battle, they'd recover 51% when at 100%.)
Trophy
Team Healer
A healing item. Hit a teammate with this item in Team Battle to reduce your ally's accumulated damage. You can throw it at an enemy, but the damage inflicted will be minimal, so you're better off using it to help your friends. This item will not react if attacked. Oh, and one more thing--you can't reduce your own damage by tossing the item up and letting it hit you. Sorry.

Trivia
- Team Healers can do damage and knockback to characters with the invincibility with hit lag, such as that created by Starman.
- The item's trophy is labelled "Team Recovery Ball" when listed on a Subspace Emissary level completion screen.
- The item can also appear in battles without teammates. As long as the game mode is set to Team Battle, and the Item Switch settings allow it, this item can appear in a match.
