The Cracker Launcher (Japanese: クラッカーランチャー, Kurakkā Ranchā) is a shooting item that allows the user to rapidly launch fire crackers. The character using it can also aim the launcher at different angles by tilting the Control stick up or down. It is also possible to run around. It could be said to be the shooting equivalent of the hammer, as it is the single most powerful weapon of its type. It is also like the hammer in that you can only jump a single time when holding it and you can't use your B moves. Aiming the Launcher can be hard to do and turning can be a hassle, but it can easly be used to take out large groups of people. The blast radius is one that makes it easy to damage others, but if it misses the balls of fire just fall off the stage. The last shot is distinguished by a grey trail of smoke and is more powerful than the rest[1]. After all of the shots are out it can be thrown once (it disappears afterward). It is particularly hard to hold on to, and it will usually only take a single attack to make a person holding a Cracker Launcher drop it. The item is similar to an item in the game Kirby Air Ride.

A portable launcher you can carry under your arm. Fire it to launch HUGE missiles... Well, OK, actually it just launches flashy fireworks. You can adjust the barrel angle to change your shot trajectories to blast those in front of you and even above you. It's a great item to have around. Be warned--the recoil pushes you in the opposite direction in which you're firing.

Trivia

• There is a similar weapon in Star Fox Assault called fire burst pods. Instead of shooting fire crackers, it must be set on the ground and will fire a barrage of grenades into the sky.
