Meta Knight (メタナイト, Meta Knight) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Aesthetics

• As with all veterans returning from SSB4, Meta Knight's model features a more subdued color scheme. His mask, armor, and sword feature more detailed textures.
• Galaxia's sword trails now appear to use reversed colors, using aqua with yellow accents instead of the yellow with turquoise accents from Smash 4.
• Meta Knight's eyes close while using his up taunt. Additionally, the trails emitted by the tornado are now colored white instead of yellow.
• In his alternate costume based off Galacta Knight, Galaxia turns pink, similarly to Galacta Knight's lance, and his mask resembles that of Galacta Knight's.

Attributes

• Like all characters, Meta Knight's jumpsquat animation now takes three frames to complete.

Throws/other attacks

• Pummel is faster.
• Down throws knockback is increased making it harder to perform combos.
• Dash attack into Up air combos can’t be performed as good.Plus the knockback on the Dash attack is higher which also prevents other combos.

• Meta Knight's stock icon is one of four to show the character's eyes, the others being Kirby, R.O.B. and Sonic.
