Master Hand reprises his role as the final boss of Classic Mode in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, at least at the lower intensities. In higher intensities, he is fought along with Crazy Hand. In higher difficulties still, he is replaced mid-battle by the new boss Master Core.
Unlike the previous games, Master Hand and Crazy Hand share a HP meter. They also have new attacks, such as tossing energy balls to one another.
Changes from Brawl to SSB4
- On high Intensities, Master Hand will "Rip Open" after a set amount of damage is done and will become the Master Core.
- Master Hand and Crazy Hand now share the same pool of HP.
- Master Hand will now occasionally attempt to blow you off the stage by producing a large gust of wind that will blow the player to the left. At higher difficulties, Chunks of ice will also blow in the wind, which will freeze the player on contact.
- Master Hand also has a new move where he makes a fireball in the palm of his hand and goes to the middle of the stage and crushes it, creating mini fireballs that fly out of his hand.
- Master Hand has another new move in which he throws large orange "cards" that lift the player off the screen.
- Master Hand has yet another new move in which he puts his fingers in a snapping position and moves slowly toward the player, and then snaps his fingers, causing the player to get stunned.
