Comes to Town!"
―Introduction Tagline
Villager (むらびと, Murabito) has been confirmed to be a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. 4. Similar to Mr. Game & Watch, his moveset will involve using a variety of miscellaneous objects from his series to attack.[1]
Known moveset
- Punching with a pair of boxing gloves.
- Doing a backhand swipe with an umbrella.
- Doing a short vertical swipe with a tree branch.
- Pulling out a weed from the ground in front of him.
- Losing balance while running with a potted sapling; the pot does damage as it falls to the ground.
- Shooting a firework upwards, similar to Snake's up smash in Brawl.
- Using a shovel to dig two holes on either side, burying opponents.
- Firing a short-range pellet backwards with a slingshot while aerial.
- Attacks with turnips upward while aerial (not to be confused with Vegetable). The number of turnips change each time used.
- Swings a turnip downwards while aerial. The number of turnips change each time used.
- Planting, watering, and chopping down a tree, which hits opponents as it falls. However, the tree can be destroyed by other characters.
- Catching items and projectiles, stowing them away; using the move again throws the stowed object, acting as a delayed reflector.
- The Lloid Rocket, a move with involves launching the Gyroid Lloid sideways. The Villager can choose to ride on him, which increases its damage.
- Using two balloons, both red or blue, to fly Balloon Fight-style. The Villager's helpless animation after they are popped is the same as the Balloon Fighter's losing animation in Balloon Fight.
- Leaning forwards and dropping a bowling ball. The ball falls a reasonable distance when used over an edge.
- Trapping opponents in a net, which is stated to act as a grab.
