Luigi (ルイージ, Ruīji) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He was announced during the Nintendo Direct on August 7, 2013, as part of Nintendo's "Year of Luigi". Like Mario, Luigi has a more cartoonish and sleeker appearance instead of the more realistic look he had in Brawl, that's more inline with his appearance in the Mario games. Currently no changes to Luigi's moveset from Brawl have been seen.
