Rainbow Road is a stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. It is based on the Rainbow Road from the Mario Kart series.
Overview
Rainbow Road consists of a flat rainbow stage that travels around. A planet resembling Saturn is one of the destinations, along with a white polka-dotted mushroom trampoline. It is a cruise type stage, similar to Delfino Plaza and Skyloft. Much like in Mario Circuit, Shy Guys will drive around the course, serving as obstacles.
Origin
Rainbow Road first appeared in Super Mario Kart, and has appeared in every Mario Kart game since. This Rainbow Road is based on the 3DS version from Mario Kart 7. Shy Guy appears as a racer within the game, although was used in Mario Kart DS in the downloadable multiplayer. The kart driven by the Shy Guys is the Standard kart from Mario Kart 7.
