Luigi (ルイージ, Ruīji) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He was announced during the Nintendo Direct on August 7, 2013, as part of Nintendo's "Year of Luigi". It is unknown if he will be unlockable as with previous installments. No changes to Luigi's moveset from Super Smash Bros. Brawl have currently been seen.
Confirmed information
- The following moves are visually the same:
- Neutral attack (third hit)
- Dash attack
- Forward and down smashes
- Neutral aerial
- Fireball
- All taunts, including down taunt spike.
- Luigi has a new jumping animation where he pedals his legs, a reference to the scuttle ability he has in some games.
