If thrown at an opponent, it may attach itself to them and do a small amount of damage. When not attached to a player, the Smoke Ball can be picked up. Trophy

Smoke Ball
An item that activates when tossed and fills the area with clouds of obscuring smoke. The smoke slowly changes color over time, from white to yellow, orange, red, purple, and finally blue before restarting the cycle. The smoke hangs around quite a while before dispersing. You can pick up an active smoke ball and hurl it again. Be careful not to lose track of yourself, though.

Wii: Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Trivia

  • If Luigi uses his Final Smash while holding an activated Smoke Ball, the smoke's color will not be affected.
  • If Snake uses his Final Smash while an activated Smoke Ball is attached to him, the Smoke Ball will still release smoke even while he is in the foreground, which can cover the entire screen.
  • Any existing smoke will instantly vanish when its parent Smoke Ball disappears (instead of fading away).
