RIP Christina Grimmie, thank you for appealing to the Smash Bros. community. I'll never forget the day you followed me on Twitter.
The cold never bothered me anyway.

Event Recreations

I have been using Brawl to recreate some events in Melee, Brawl and SSB4.

Considerations when recreating stages:

  • Melee events can be done with any game, Brawl events can be done with Brawl or SSB4, and SSB4 events can only be done with SSB4
  • Currently, no DLC characters or stages are being considered.
  • When recreating Co-op events, the second character is a CPU ally.
  • Smash 64 or the 3DS version of SSB4 are not used for recreating events.

Common differences include:

  • Music is not always the same
  • Characters are forced a palette swap in team battles except SSB4.
  • Items are turned off unless if the event focuses on them.

Melee Events

Different character OTPs have different sets of Melee events.

Link & Fox's Events

Event Instructions Differences
Event 9: Hide 'n' Sheik Choose a character, fight in a 1 stock team against two Zeldas on Great Bay in Melee, Pirate Ship in Brawl or Skyloft in SSB4. The Zeldas don't have to be KO'd as Sheik. They cannot transform in SSB4. Pirate Ship and Skyloft represent Great Bay as bright Legend of Zelda stages.
Event 18: Link's Adventure Select Link with a red alternate costume and fight another Link with a dark alternate costume on Temple. Dark Link does not have a fully black shading.
Event 23: Slippy's Invention Choose a character and fight a team of Fox and Falco on Venom in Melee or Lylat Cruise in Brawl and SSB4. Neither Fox nor Falco are invisible. Lylat Cruise represents Venom as a port to starboard stage.

Zelda & Falco's Events

Event Instructions Differences
Event 15: Girl Power Choose a character, fight in a 2 stock free-for-all against Samus, Peach, and Zelda on Fountain of Dreams in Melee or Halberd in Brawl and SSB4. The stage is fought on Halberd to represent a non Green Greens Kirby stage. No one is tiny.
Event 29: Triforce Gathering Select Link and team up with Zelda. Fight Ganondorf in a 1 stock match on Temple. Ganondorf only has one stock. The fight can still continue if Zelda dies.
Event 32: Target Acquired Select Falco and fight Jigglypuff in a 1 minute battle with 300% damage on Corneria in Melee and Brawl or Orbital Gate Assault in SSB4. Arwings will not K.O. anyone. List of AI flaws regarding two shipped The Legend of Zelda and Star Fox entities

Entity Game Description

Hyrule Castle Sector Z

Super Smash Bros. CPUs have difficulty recognising walls. Also shared with Peach's Castle and Saffron City.

Zelda (SSBM) Falco (SSBM)

Super Smash Bros. Melee Recovers in the same diagonal trajectory despite having a direction which would've performed a successful recovery. Also shared with Fox, Mewtwo, Marth, and Roy.

Deku Nut Smart Bomb

Super Smash Bros. Brawl CPUs throw these items regardless of distance either getting stunned themselves or get caught in the explosion.

Trivia

  • Each entity represent the three aspects of a noun. Zelda and Falco represent people, Hyrule Castle and Sector Z represent places, and Deku Nuts and Smart Bombs represent things.
  • Brawl's flaw also carries over to SSB4 shared with other explosives, but the Deku Nut becomes safer for throwers.
