Mushroom Kingdom U (マリオUワールド, Mario U World) is a stage in forwiiu. It is based on the game supermariowiki. The stage transitions between several worlds from that game.
Mushroom Kingdom U (マリオUワールド, Mario U World) is a stage in forwiiu and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Bowser is fought here for his unlock battle in Ultimate. Peach and Daisy's unlock battle in World of Light is also fought here in the Slide Lift Tower, while Jigglypuff is fought on its Ω form during its unlock battle in World of Light.

Layout
Stage overview
The Acorn Plains section consist of a medium-sized platform with three elevated platforms above it. At some points during a match, Kamek will show up and cast a spell in order to transform the stage into multiple variants based on the different worlds of New Super Mario Bros. U.
This stage possesses four different layouts; it switches between them when Kamek appears and casts a spell.

Another variant is based on Rock-Candy Mines. It takes place on a single rock platform that balances like a lever.
Acorn Plains
The starting version is set in a grassland, based on the first world, Acorn Plains. It features a large main platforms with three smaller soft platforms above.
clrl

A variant based on the Slide Lift Tower in Meringue Clouds can also appear. In this variant, the main platform appears in a closed track, and is split into two halves. Occasionally, the platforms will rub against each other, pushing any fighter or item off the lower.
Rock-Candy Mines
The next variation is set in the mountains, based on the 6th world, Rock-Candy Mines. It features a single rock platform balanced on the tip of a spire; the platform balances like a lever.
clrl

The final variant seen is based on Meringue Clouds. It has pink clouds in the background, along with grassy platforms.
Meringue Clouds
The next variation is a layout based on the 7th world, Meringue Clouds. It is set above pink clouds, and features two walled platforms separated by a pit, with floating platforms above the pit and the right platform.
clrl

At points, a beanstalk will sprout from the background and grow leaves, which players can use as platforms. The beanstalk will disappear after some time. Droplets of water will occasionally fall onto the stage, which is followed by a giant icicle that freezes any player who touches it while it travels downward. After striking the ground, they serve as temporary platforms until broken. Water geysers will also spout upwards, acting as temporary extra platforms to stand on top of. Players who touch them will be lifted up. Some of these geysers will also carry Big Urchins on top of them, serving as additional hazards. There are also at least four sets of Stretch Blocks scattered around that can be used as extra platforms.
Slide Lift Tower
The final variation of the stage is based on Slide Lift Tower, the tower found in Meringue Clouds. It is set in the inside of the tower, which features two solid blocks which move along a rectangular rail. In their movement the blocks rub onto each other, and are able to push fighters and items.
clrl

Nabbit shows up periodically when the stage transforms. He is a stage hazard that chases after players and tries to catch them in his bag. He then attempts to blast off in a trail of smoke towards the upper blast line, much like the Beetle and Boss Galaga items. Nabbit is treated as a fighter, and therefore is vulnerable to attacks, grabs, and items. Like regular fighters, Nabbit can be knocked back further the more he has been damaged.
Other
Several other elements and hazards from other worlds in mariowiki can appear on the stage, independently of the current stage variation:
*A giant beanstalk which sprouts from the background and grows branches and leaves, which players can use as platforms. The beanstalk disappears after some time.
*Droplets of water which fall from the sky, soon followed by a giant icicle that freezes any player who touches it while it is falling. These Icicles originated from the 4th world, Frosted Glacier. After striking the ground, the icicles serve as platforms which can be damaged and destroyed by attacks.
*Water geysers which spout upwards, acting as extra platforms. Players who touch them will be lifted up. Some of these geysers carry damaging Big Urchins on top of them. This originated from the 3rd world, Sparkling Waters.
*Various sets of mariowikis, small blocks which act as solid platforms can autonomously stretch horizontally.
*Several Tower-themed soft platforms which traverse the stage horizontally.

Tournament Leagilty
Mushroom Kingdom U is banned from tournaments due to hazards such as icicles, Big Urchins, and Nabbit, who can steal away fighters and interrupt the fight.
Nabbit shows up periodically when the stage transforms. He chases after characters and tries to catch them in his bag. Once he traps a character, he attempts to float towards the upper blast line and KO them, much like the Beetle and Boss Galaga items. The bag can be escaped by button mashing. Nabbit is treated as a fighter, and therefore is vulnerable to attacks, grabs, and items - he even takes knockback proportional to damage - and can be defeated by being launched beyond the blast lines.

When Nabbit jumps across the pit in the Meringue Clouds variation, it is possible for the player to be caught in his bag mid-jump, causing both the player and Nabbit to plummet off the stage.

Ω forms and Battlefield form
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the Ω form is set on a flat rock platform with grass on top in the Acorn Plains portion of the regular form. Star KOs are possible here. The stage no longer transitions, which means Kamek never appears, and Nabbit, the beanstalk, icicles, water geysers, Big Urchins, and Stretch Blocks have also been removed.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Ω form and Battlefield form are similar to the Ω form in SSB4; however, the main platform is now made of the grassy soil found at the beginning of the Acorn Plains portion, and it is resized and reshaped to match Final Destination and Battlefield, respectively. The three soft platforms of the Battlefield form are based on the three soft platforms in the Acorn Plains section of the normal form. Oddly, Star KOs can no longer occur here.

Ω Mode
The Omega version is only set in the Acorn Plains portion of the stage. The stage does not have any upper platforms, icicles do not fall onto the stage, and Nabbit and Kamek don't make any appearances. Star KOs can occur.

This stage is based on New Super Mario Bros. U, specifically its first world, supermariowiki, its sixth world, supermariowiki, its seventh world, supermariowiki, and the various tower levels, particularly the mariowiki. Water geysers are a major element in the world supermariowiki of New Super Mario Bros. U, and appear in the Rock-Candy Mines section of the stage. Some water geysers have supermariowikis floating on top of them, just like in the game. Icicles are a major element in the world supermariowiki; they randomly crash down on the stage acting as platforms before shattering. The beanstalk originates from the Sparkling Waters hidden level: supermariowiki.
This stage is a combination of several stages from mariowiki.
The main stage variations are based on: its first world, mariowiki; its sixth world, mariowiki; its seventh world, mariowiki; and the various tower levels, particularly the mariowiki.

supermariowiki debuted in supermariowiki as Bowser's caretaker and personal servant, as well as the game's main antagonist. In that game, he kidnapped mariowiki after predicting that Mario and Luigi would cause Bowser trouble in the future. Throughout Yoshi's Island, he would assist bosses with his magic, usually by making them gigantic. Kamek would make more appearances in later games in the Yoshi and Mario series of games, serving as the series' main villain of the former. In his appearance in the mariowiki series, he once again served Bowser and used his magic to assist the bosses.
Water geysers, with or without mariowikis on top, are common in the world mariowiki, while falling icicles which can be used as platforms appear in mariowiki. The beanstalk originates from the Sparkling Waters hidden level: mariowiki.

supermariowiki first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U, where he would steal items from supermariowikis. Players could chase him across levels to retrieve the stolen items. Upon capturing him, players would be rewarded with a supermariowiki. Nabbit would also appear to take the prize in supermariowikis if players waited too long to retrieve it. Nabbit reappeared as a playable character in the downloadable separate game supermariowiki. In the game, Nabbit was immune to damage from enemies (though he could still die from one-hit obstacles such as lava) so that less experienced players could deal with New Super Luigi Us harder difficulty. Nabbit would actually reprise his role from the original game if he was not being played as.
Kamek is a high-ranking member of Bowser's army and one of the main antagonists in the Yoshi series, a Magikoopa who, in the recent New Super Mario Bros. games, appears at the beginning of boss battles to transform the arena.

Mushroom Kingdom U (マリオUワールド, Mario U World) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Bowser is fought here for his unlock battle in Ultimate. Peach and Daisy's unlock battle in World of Light is also fought here in the Slide Lift Tower, while Jigglypuff is fought on its Ω form during its unlock battle in World of Light.

Stage overview[edit]

This stage possesses four different layouts; it switches between them when Kamek appears and casts a spell.

Acorn Plains[edit]

The Acorn Plains version in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

The starting version is set in a grassland, based on the first world, Acorn Plains. It features a large main platforms with three smaller soft platforms above.

Rock-Candy Mines[edit]

The Rock-Candy Mines version, also featuring some water spouts and a Big Urchin.

The next variation is set in the mountains, based on the 6th world, Rock-Candy Mines. It features a single rock platform balanced on the tip of a spire; the platform balances like a lever.

Meringue Clouds[edit]

The Meringue Clouds version.

The next variation is a layout based on the 7th world, Meringue Clouds. It is set above pink clouds, and features two walled platforms separated by a pit, with floating platforms above the pit and the right platform.

Slide Lift Tower[edit]

The Slide Lift Tower version.

The final variation of the stage is based on Slide Lift Tower, the tower found in Meringue Clouds. It is set in the inside of the tower, which features two solid blocks which move along a rectangular rail. In their movement the blocks rub onto each other, and are able to push fighters and items.

Other[edit]

Several other elements and hazards from other worlds in New Super Mario Bros U can appear on the stage, independently of the current stage variation:

 • A giant beanstalk which sprouts from the background and grows branches and leaves, which players can use as platforms. The beanstalk disappears after some time.
 • Droplets of water which fall from the sky, soon followed by a giant icicle that freezes any player who touches it while it is falling. These Icicles originated from the 4th world, Frosted Glacier. After striking the ground, the icicles serve as platforms which can be damaged and destroyed by attacks.
 • Water geysers which spout upwards, acting as extra platforms. Players who touch them will be lifted up. Some of these geysers carry damaging Big Urchins on top of them. This originated from the 3rd world, Sparkling Waters.
 • Various sets of Stretch Blocks, small blocks which act as solid platforms can autonomously stretch horizontally.
 • Several Tower-themed soft platforms which traverse the stage horizontally.
Nabbit, as he appears on the stage.

Ω forms and Battlefield form[edit]

Hazards Off[edit]

With hazards off in Ultimate, Kamek never appears nor changes the stage, which remains in Acorn Plains for the duration of the match. Nabbit is also removed, and other hazards don't appear.

Origin[edit]

Acorn Plains as it originally appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U.

This stage is a combination of several stages from New Super Mario Bros. U. The main stage variations are based on: its first world, Acorn Plains; its sixth world, Rock-Candy Mines; its seventh world, Meringue Clouds; and the various tower levels, particularly the Slide Lift Tower.

Water geysers, with or without Big Urchins on top, are common in the world Sparkling Waters, while falling icicles which can be used as platforms appear in Frosted Glacier. The beanstalk originates from the Sparkling Waters hidden level: Skyward Stalk.

Kamek is a high-ranking member of Bowser's army and one of the main antagonists in the Yoshi series, a Magikoopa who, in the recent New Super Mario Bros. games, appears at the beginning of boss battles to transform the arena.

Nabbit first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U. He is a rabbit thief who steals items from Toad Houses: players then can chase him across levels to retrieve the stolen items, being rewarded with a P-Acorn upon capture. Nabbit also appears to take the prize in enemy courses if players do not retrieve it in time.

Update History[edit]

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U 1.0.6

 • Bug fix Fixed a glitch caused by throwing Nabbit and then quickly pressing the pause button to cause a multitude of character-specific oddities.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 3.0.0

 • Bug fix Fixed a visual glitch on the Acorn Plains layout where looking at two clouds from a lower angle will cause the one on front to overlap the other in a transparent sheet.

Tournament legality[edit]

Mushroom Kingdom U is banned from tournaments due to its several disruptive hazards such as icicles, Big Urchins, and Nabbit. It does, however, have a fairly neutral layout with hazards off, which has made its legality more debatable with hazards off.
