The Gust Bellows is a weapon from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and was confirmed as a new item. Its functions are primarily similar to its Zelda appearance when held and seems to have a more realistic model this time around.

The Gust Bellows function similarly to Skyward Sword when picked up, allowing characters to push their enemies away, similar to Kyogre's Hydro Pump attack. The item has a limited supply of air, and attempting to use it when it runs out will cause the user to throw it.
If the Gust Bellows is dropped while it still contains air, it will constantly spin and begin moving to either the left or right of the stage; while doing so, it will occasionally release a burst of wind, frustrating other players' approaches. These bursts of wind do not affect the character who threw the item.
Origin
The Gust Bellows originated from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as an item found in the Lanayru Mining Facility. Link uses the item to create large vortexes of wind to blow various objects, including piles of sand, dust, household items and enemies away. Its main use is to blow away sand, but it can turn propellors which act as switches too. Gust bellows do not affect most enemies, but they can blow away smaller ones.
