CEO 2016: Added total pot for Tekken 7 on lineup table.
Hey Trip, I have to inform you on something. Since Tekken 7 at CEO '16 is a free to enter game meaning no base pot (there is however a $3K bonus pot), I implemented the total pot for that game. I would like to let you know that this is currently as of this writing the only established total pot for the event. I'm not trying to cause controversy, but since the tournament is FGC-run, and since I added a table, I kinda wanted to get that part of info out of the way. Congrats on being an admin (don't know which month you became one). Thank you for your time. --Falconian Leader (talk) 21:39, 25 May 2016 (EDT)
- That's fine (at least in my eyes) since it's a bonus pot, and since there's no base pot, it's unlikely to rise. Oh, and thanks, I became one exactly two months ago. :D Disaster Flare (talk) 21:42, 25 May 2016 (EDT)
- Also Trip, Wii U doubles has reached it's player cap. Nyargle told me to get another opinion, but I accidentally implemented the "256" number within the table, without knowing about this reply. Going by Alex Jebailey's tweets, it's pretty unlikely that Wii U doubles will get its cap increased. The tweets that caught my eye are right here: Jebailey confirming that Smash 4 doubles reaches its player cap, Jebailey answering my question regarding whether the cap will be increased. See the other tweets in here. CEOGaming, CEOJebailey. Thanks. :) -- Falcon-X (VISIT MY DOJO) 14:21, 26 May 2016 (EDT)
- Hmm...yeah that's fine. They seem pretty settled on that being the cap, and if they do happen to update it, we can easily change it later. Disaster Flare (talk) 14:24, 26 May 2016 (EDT)

question
When a probated person tries to edit their user page (and anything else probation blocks them from editing), what message do they see when they try to do so? Chilex (talk) 17:56, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- No clue. I've only ever been probated once and it was on a completely different wiki so. Disaster Flare (talk) 18:03, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- Can you probate me real quick so I can see for myself? I'm curious. Chilex (talk) 18:05, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- That would be an abuse of power since I'd be probating you for no reason, so I cannot accept. Disaster Flare (talk) 18:08, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- Whoops, my b. Chilex (talk) 18:09, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- Unless policies and attitudes have drastically changed, I wouldn't think that's an abuse of power. We had a few shoe-puppets for that exact purpose (can't remember the passwords, but I'd be happy to create a new one to check). Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 18:16, 1 June 2016 (EDT)

(reset indent) I see, I didn't start becoming active until late last year so I have no knowledge of anywhere where policies may have changed. Disaster Flare (talk) 18:22, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- To answer the question, I suspect what would appear is the text controlled by this system message. Oscuritaforze (talk) 18:25, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- @ Oscuritaforze: It should be that.
- @ Disater Flare: Its not an abuse of power to test the system, especially when you have clear consent from the other user. Just probate him/her for 10 minutes at a predetermined time. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 18:57, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
Self contradiction
I just added the "New Jersey Smashers" Category. You said it was fine... Hello! It's'a me, Cypher123. ∆u∆ (talk) 13:24, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- Umm...no? I said on Smasher articles, categories are okay. User pages on SmashWiki are not to have any categories of any kind. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:31, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- Ah. I don't catch the concept as much as I would like, but what is the exact difference aside from being a different user? (And the category thing.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cypher123 (talk • contribs) 17:35, 2 June 2016 (EST)
- Smasher articles are for Smashers who frequently go to tournaments and get good results from them, while user pages are for any user who has become autoconfirmed to tell a little about themselves. Alongside that, overediting your userspace can get you put in probation, unlike smasher articles. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:42, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- (;-;) gotta take much into note. But I honesly can't do any tournaments because my parents have to be all "nag-nag-nag" about having internet on my 2DS. And aside from the fact I don't even have sm4sh. :p —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cypher123 (talk • contribs) 17:46, 2 June 2016 (EST)
- Well just going to a few tournaments won't cut it. You have to be pretty good at the game before you can get a smasher article. :P Disaster Flare (talk) 13:48, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- Obvious. :D I am good at being bad, sometimes. XD Hello! It's'a me, Cypher123. ∆u∆ (talk) 13:52, 2 June 2016 (EDT)

So I broke all the quotes...
Sorry about that. Looks like it needs more testing. I can't create articles, so would it be okay if you create Template:Cquote/draft and Template:Cquote/tests as blank pages? Those subpages can be used to check the output across different browsers, and not make changes to the live template until it's 100% ready. 75.50.101.167 23:36, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- Well typically major changes to templates (If I recall correctly) needs to be voted upon first. Whether or not I'm incorrect though, I'm not the best person to be helping you with template creation. Coding's unfortunately not one of my strong suits. Disaster Flare (talk) 23:39, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- Simply use SmashWiki:Sandbox. Serpent King 00:17, 6 June 2016 (EDT)
- Okay, I've got a draft and test page set up, and I'll start checking in it different browsers. Which browser were you seeing broken layout with? I'll make sure to check that one thoroughly. ライケン (talk) 17:25, 11 June 2016 (EDT)
- I use Google Chrome. The quotes themselves didn't break, it broke the articles in a weird way. I can't quite explain it. Disaster Flare (talk) 18:33, 11 June 2016 (EDT)
- I found one bug, though not sure it's the same bug you saw. Did you see the quote disappearing at the margin of the infobox, kind of like this image, or was it something else? ライケン (talk) 21:19, 11 June 2016 (EDT)
- Not quite. Here, I know a userpage that has a similar bug. Refer to here, specifically on the tabs above and the sidebar on the left. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:55, 12 June 2016 (EDT)
- Wow. That is messed up. Thanks for the catch.
- The good news is, I replicated the bug on cquote. The bad news is, I replicated the bug on other templates, too. ({{editcount}} is the culprit on the page you linked.) I'll put cquote on hold, and work on a general fix for all the affected templates before I go back to it. ライケン (talk) 23:00, 12 June 2016 (EDT)

Your block on TabuuandMasterCore
Was a bit of a jump-of-the-gun, in my opinion. While he has had several warnings in the past, none of them (from my understanding) relate to what he was actually blocked for (uploading over a user image). Please get back to me on this ASAP, thanks Serpent King 21:00, 10 June 2016 (EDT)
- It wasn't just the image. He also get extremely snippy with Unowninator for no reason when the image was uploaded over. I will agree maybe it jumped the gun a bit, but it's become clear to me that he has no intention of following directions anytime soon, otherwise we wouldn't be having this issue right now. Disaster Flare (talk) 21:09, 10 June 2016 (EDT)
- But see, the offense you blocked for has never once been properly warned about and that's what I have a problem with. Serpent King 21:27, 10 June 2016 (EDT)
- You do have a point....fine, unblock him, but if you ask me unblocking him would be unwise, knowing him. Disaster Flare (talk) 21:30, 10 June 2016 (EDT)

Zelda
I have some information on the minimum percentage requirement for "elevator kills" for Zelda's Farore's Wind. Do I have permission to add some tables to that article? Haha, you said to ask if I had any questions -- not sure if it's appropriate to ask here. I'd just rather know before spending a bunch of time on it, and it getting deleted. Thanks! :) Ubiquittea (talk) 21:52, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
- Well firstly, please leave new talk page topics at the bottom so they don't get mixed up. Second, considering I'm very unknowledgeable about what's worth noting with character's moves, especially from a competitive standpoint, I'm not the best person to ask, though it does sound like something that might be worth noting somewhere. That's just my opinion though. Disaster Flare (talk) 21:55, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
- People like me are the most appropiate ones to ask about KO %s, since I'm a competitive player here. And you don't need permission to add KO %s from moves that KO reliably, the more you add the better actually! -- BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 22:01, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

You think you could be that clumsy? I could get scratches from tripping over nothing in the grass? Ok, kidding (but I could). I just wanted to say I thought you were a female. xP Hello! It's'a me, Cypher123. ∆u∆ (talk) 10:48, 18 June 2016 (EDT)

Salty Melee / Nameless / Agent
You are deleting all of the pages me and evil are creating, claiming they are "not notable" i don't know what you want from us man, we've had Shiz, vist, milkman, etc, we have been sponsored by anthers ladder, does a tourney need $2k pot bonus and mango in attendance to be considered notable? alot of the tournies, specifically salty melee are more stacked then most regionals lol... with all due respect i looked at your page and you aren't a melee player, and not a netplay player. the work that's been put in to get netplay recognized by top players is tremendous and these wiki pages would actually give us a solid place where we can look back at what we've done. if Netplay isn't notable, then how come there are sm4sh wifi tourneys listed on here? i politely request that you reconsider the deletions. Thanks.
- The only Wi-Fi Smash 4 tournaments that have been included on this wiki are large advertised tournaments that have paid out in cash. Otherwise, online tournaments are to never be included. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 11:56, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
- The tournament being online is a horrible reason to be considered not notable, but whatever thanks anyway man Agent7300 (talk) 12:02, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
- Being a Mod on SmashLadder and a TO and a Melee Player , Netplay tournaments helps the community . We don't give money , but we give smashladder Subscription that cost money and also Videogames on Steam . I don't understand you guys to Delete all our stuff , we work hard to make melee a better game for people that doesn't have the time or money to go to Real life tournaments . you guys deleting this is straight up a you are useless go away with you stupid netplay tounaments , I'm sorry but theres no reason for the best online melee tournaments to be treat that way really , this is just stupid the reasons that you guys give us makes no sense for us and our whole crew and probably hundred of other netplay player.(Evilpcx) (talk)
- Please don't make assumptions. No one is saying that Netplay tournaments are stupid, we just simply don't include online tournaments unless they are considered notable by the wiki's standards. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 12:27, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
I'd like to have a link to these standards Agent7300 (talk) 12:28, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
- Again, they are generally large advertised tournaments that pay out cash. There would be way more online tournaments listed (from Brawl and Smash 4 especially) on this wiki otherwise. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 12:34, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
How much is large for you and how much cash then ? oh and also , Why did you guys delelted the Crew12 page . We have legit player on it . Mayb is top 12 in NJ , Myougi did a lot of thing for the icies meta and Todd goes to Xanadu and does top 10 all the time . (talk (Evilpcx)
- We typically don't have crew pages unless they're extremely notable, like Isai's old crew for instance. The reason there's still a lot is because we still have yet to go through them all and determine their notability. Not only that, but Xanadu results usually aren't enough to prove notability. Disaster Flare (talk) 12:41, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
Fine well http://www.ssbwiki.com/Shots_Fired_2 Mayb 13th at shot fired , Why is that even a thing . Also you deleted the change on smashladder's page. Even though I don't really care but we do 90% of the melee/PM tournements anyway . And again you 2 told me different things , one said we need cash prize and the other said that we can't have online tournaments on here . not that it matter but we are still trying to understand why at some points . A wiki like this one is suppose to be for players or people that are interessed in smash , the more we have espicially online for people that can't go to IRL tournaments the better it is . I hope not seeing something like smash 4 tournament with 30$ pot bonus on here and like 2 good players because thats less than us in many tournies . Have a good day I guess (talk (Evilpcx)
- Miscommunication, I suppose. We usually don't include online tournaments, yes, but if they are considered significant enough, they can be included. And no, the tournament would have to be big enough to justify it being listed, so a $30 Smash 4 online tournament would definitely be out of the question. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 12:58, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
"Take it up with OT"
I'm fairly certain that Jamal is fairly capable of arguing stuff out. Hell, you're doing fine in this online tournament argument thing too. Shouldn't have to rely on another staff member for disputes if a normal user/you can deal with it. MegaTron1 13:27, 20 June 2016 (EDT)
