About
Ubiquittea is a young smasher from Colorado that currently competes in Smash 4 tournaments. Working alongside other key members of Colorado Smash she continues to strive for a welcoming community where anybody get rekt, no matter what their initial skill level is. Introduced to Smash through Brawl back in 2009 by her brothers, she never stopped playing. Employed by a local eSports tournament hoster, back in the summer of 2015, she has done her best to bring more players into the growing Smash 4 community.
Through the years, her skill has improved incredibly with Zelda to the point where most players can't predict her moves. Choosing a low tier character has made it very difficult for her to advance in any of the Colorado_Power_Rankings, in fact, she is rumored to be one of the more unskilled players in the community as a whole.
Ubiquittea plays Smash competitively, for fun, not desiring to be the "best" Smasher in Colorado, but merely a challenge for other smashers in her community with her unique skill sets as a Zelda main.
Username Origin
Ubiquity
[yoo•bik•wi•tee]
adjective
present, appearing, or found everywhere.
synonyms: omnipresent, ever-present, everywhere, all over the place, pervasive, universal, worldwide, global
In late 2015, Ubiquittea had realized she was not satisfied with the username she was playing under to enter in tournaments; so, she created a new identity for video games, specifically for Smash. By combining the words "ubiquity" and "tea", her username was born.
Both words are special in why she chose them for her gamertag. She chose "tea" for her love of British things, Doctor Who, and her idolized, favorite female video gamer, Smasher:milktea, one of the few female smashers. She chose "ubiquity" for her play style with Zelda.
Play Style
Ubiquittea plays Zelda in a unique, strategic, offensive, way. Her skill is hi-lighted in how she operates Zelda's up-b (Farore's Wind) to quickly maneuver around the stage. She is said to be one of the few Zelda players who uses Farore's_Wind successfully as a regular attack move, with key precision, every time. If not completely mastered Farore's Wind, she has compiled a list and memorized the kill percentages for each Smash 4 character in which she can teleport upwards with Farore's Windfall to "elevator" them off of the stage for a confirmed kill.
She shys away from the gamecube controller in both Brawl and Smash 4, instead picking up a simple Wii Remote controller to use, making her up-b that much more impressive, as she is using the Directional Pad to navigate Farore's Wind.
