Meta Knight executes a series of lightning-fast slashes in front of him, finishing with an uppercut slash. Like in Brawl, this move is situational, being the only neutral attack in the game that is only a rapid jab. Though it is much harder to SDI out of and has an added finisher, it now hits only in front of him, which makes it easier to punish if whiffed. Its good range means it can be used to throw off bad approaches, and it covers get-up options from the ledge. However, he has other moves which carry out the same purpose while holding less risk and being more reliable, such as forward tilt.
