This article is about the item in SSB4. For the attack effect in Brawl, see Grass.

Grass is an item in Super Smash Bros. 4. It appears as a tuft of grass that sits on the ground. Characters that attempt to pick it up will instead pick up a newly-created item, similar to Sandbag's function as an item.

Origin

Grass appears in Super Mario Bros. 2. When grass is pulled, an item will be produced. Usually the item is a vegetable, but sometimes it could yield a magic potion, a stopwatch, a POW Block, a bomb, a turtle shell, or a rocket. In Sub-space, pulling grass rewards the player with coins that can be spent at the end-of-level slot machine.
