Tortimer | Stage | ? G; — |
A former mayor who is living out his retirement on a tropical island. He's not a hermit, though, and absolutely loves spending time with anyone who goes to visit his tropical paradise. Everyone could learn from his generous spirit. And that aloha shirt looks great! Many cultures around the world see the tortoise as a symbol of great age and wisdom, and Tortimer embodies both in spades. A former town mayor, he now lives a slightly quieter life organising island tours and giving out medals. The Hawaiian shirt definitely wasn't part of his mayoral attire.
Kapp'n | Stage | 300 G; 5 |
This turtle ferries you out to the tropical island. In the past he's been seen driving a taxi and a bus, and now he's the captain of a little boat. Or maybe he just wanted to sing his songs—it's only right to be sailing while singing sea shanties, after all! Kapp'n is a man of many talents: taxi driver, bus driver, and now sailor of the boat that takes tourists to Tortimer Island. He loves taking people places, no matter what the method, but now he's back to his roots. You might assume that his favourite letter is the letter arrr, but you'd be wrong: his one true love is the C.
Leilani | Stage | 500 G; 10 |
If you've had your fill of tropical-island adventures, Kapp'n's wife, Leilani, can arrange your trip home. She'll also happily sign you up for island tours. If you want to play some minigames, she'll find the perfect tropical tour for you. Afterwards, she'll even call her husband, Kapp'n, to take you home again! To be honest, though, she's always a little surprised anybody would want to leave Tortimer Island at all.
Leila | Stage | 500 G; 10 |
A young lady turtle who plays at running a shop. She's still learning and will buy almost anything from the island. Her prices are much lower than the recycling shop, and her parents hope that the smiling faces of customers will ease her loneliness. Her dad is Kapp'n, and her mom is Leilani. Leila just loves to play supermarket. You can even play along and sell her things you got on the island – except the tools you've borrowed, of course! Grams | Stage | 300 G; 5 |
The eldest turtle on the tropical island, Grams runs the souvenir counter. She'll trade you island-themed goods in exchange for the medals you earned during tours. Among the things she sells are flower-patterned muumuus, but Leila thinks they look best on Grams. Want ocean-themed souvenirs? Look no further than the shop on Tortimer Island! They don't even cost a single Bell – Grams only takes medals. You might be tempted by the adorable muumuus on sale, but no one could look better in one than Grams herself. At least, that's what her granddaughter, Leila, thinks.
