The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Lost Tech City 2022 was a Super Smash Bros. Melee major, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major, and Super Smash Bros. regional which took place from September 30th-October 2nd in San Antonio, Texas at the Tech Port Arena. It also had brackets for Guilty Gear Strive, MultiVersus, Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and The King of Fighters XV. It was part of the Low Tier City tournament series. The tournament was a Gold stop on the Smash World Tour 2022. The top 3 non-qualified players in Melee and Ultimate also qualified for the Panda Cup Finale.
Since Smash 64 doubles had only 2 teams in the bracket, it was decided by one best of 7 set, of which Pokehero and CTG beat Smashfather and Josh Brody 4-1.

Trivia
- Day 1 of the event (beginning on Friday, September 30th) was not streamed due to technical issues.
- Hungrybox (regarded as the best Melee Jigglypuff player), notably beat BassMage (regarded as the best Ultimate Jigglypuff player) 2-1 in the ditto during Ultimate singles.
- The day prior to the upset, PG Stats released a video highlighting Hungrybox's career in other Smash games, leading to comments on social media poking fun at how quickly the video became outdated.[2]
- Later in bracket, BassMage would win the runback, defeating Hungrybox 3-0 to end his run at 17th.
- Plup became the first player to make Top 8 in doubles for both Melee and Ultimate at a national-level tournament, winning Melee doubles with Hungrybox and placing 5th in Ultimate doubles with Marss.
- Tuner_Ace, the John behind the term "No Johns", competed in Melee singles. He placed 17th, only losing to Wizzrobe and Axe.
- This is the first Melee major where Mango and Plup have met in Grand Finals.
