The Big House 8 was a national Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros Melee, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament that took place on October 5th-7th, 2018 in Detroit, Michigan. The event was hosted by Juggleguy and was held inside Detroit's Cobo Center.

Trivia
- This tournament marks the first ever win of a Corrin main at a national tournament, with Cosmos taking the Wii U singles event.
- There was a major upset with Bananas winning over Plup Being a 3-0 in winners. Despite that Plup had a great Loser's Run making it to Grand Finals. He lost to Hungrybox, placing 2nd.
- Mew2King did not enter The Big House 8, as he had not touched the game since Super Smash Con. In addition, writing a book was also part of the reason.
