Ike (アイク, Aiku) has been confirmed to return as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He was announced on May 23rd, 2014, in a Pic of the day post. Rather than using his design from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance as was the case in Brawl, his appearance here is based on his appearance in the game's sequel, Radiant Dawn, wearing the same outfit as that in his Hero class, and looking older and significantly more muscular.

Confirmed information

• Forward air has slightly less start up.
• When using Eruption, Ragnell will now shine when it has reached its full power before becoming completely charged, providing an indication of when to release it without suffering recoil damage. Its fire is blue like it was in it's original appearance.
• Foward tilt deals 1% less damage.
• Jab combo deals lower damage.
• Great Aether's power has been lowered from 78% to 60%.

• Dash attack
• Up smash
• Forward aerial
• Aether
• Counter
• Down taunt

Special Moves

In Super Smash Bros. 4, special moves can be swapped out for different variants, but none of Ike's have been seen. He retains at least three of his original special moves. These are Ike's special moves:

Trivia

• Ike, Lucario, Peach, Charizard, King Dedede, and Diddy Kong were the only returning characters confirmed before E3 2014 to not be playable in any demo version of Super Smash Bros. 4.
