Revision as of 21:23, October 16, 2022 by PokemonMasterJamal3(talk | contribs)(Undid edit by Cookies and Creme: I was the one that added this. Ginger has repeatedly stated that he's been attending tournaments since 2003.)
Ginger is a Falcomain who is currently ranked 1st on the Michigan Melee Power Rankings and A Tier on MPGRContenders North America. He has been competing in tournaments since 2003 and first gained national recognition after unexpectedly defeating Druggedfox at The Big House 5 in Winner's Semis of Round 1 Pools. He has also eliminated Westballz at The Big House 7 and beaten Axe at Full Bloom 4.
After his breakout performances in 2017, Ginger became an active Twitch streamer and is known for playing high level Anther's Ladder matches and for his catchphrase "zoinks" on stream. He has also been nicknamed the "SFAT of Falco" due to his extremely orthodox play style.
On February 25th, 2019, Ginger announced that he parted ways with Balance Gaming.[1] He later signed with Thunder Gaming on August 14th, 2019, becoming their first Melee player and second Smash player overall (after MVD).[2], before leaving the team on January 13th, 2020. On February 7th, 2021, Ginger signed with Luminosity Gaming.[3]
This Smasher article or section lacks a complete results table. You can help SmashWiki by adding the missing results. The editor who added this tag elaborates: Has apparently been competing since 2003, so a lot of tournaments are clearly missing.
On September 10th, 2021, a tweet from sponsor Luminosity (which advertised his "Ginger's Smurf Show" netplay series) depicted a Fortnite-esque render of Ginger alongside a Navy sponsorship.[4] The nature of the sponsorship, combined with the "WarHero" pose, have led to Ginger becoming the basis of a running gag depicting him as a war veteran.
