Smash 'N' Splash 4 was a national tournament held in Lake Delton, Wisconsin on June 1st-3rd, 2018. The tournament hosted all Smash titles and 4 non-Smash titles: Rivals of Aether, Dragon Ball Fighters Z, Splatoon 2 and ARMS. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U had a pot bonus of $5,000 for singles and $1,000 for doubles.

The tournament was first hinted at in a tweet by BattleBeaverCustoms. When the tweet hit 1,000 retweets, the Smash 'N' Splash twitter account officially announced the tournament at midnight CST on January 5th, 2018.

• This marks the first ever win of a post 1.1.5 patch Sheik at a major in SSB4, with VoiD taking the tournament.
  • This is also VoiD's first win at a national tournament.
• Additionally, this marks Lunchables' first national tournament win in Project M after 3 2nd place finishes at previous nationals.
  • This also marks the first time that Roy has won a national in version 3.6.
• Furthermore, this was also Armada's first national tournament win in 2018.
• Ninja, the most popular Twitch streamer who regularly streams Fortnite, notably watched and streamed the tournament in Melee in which over 90K viewers watched the tournament.
  • Combining both Ninja's and the original streaming channel's views, Smash 'N' Splash 4 peaked at over 120,000 viewers, making it one of the most watched Melee tournaments of all time.
