The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

The Killing Edge is an item that is scheduled to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. It was revealed in the August 8 Nintendo Direct.

Operation

As a battering item, the Beam Sword will bolster the player's power, as well as potentially add some options to their game via throwing. If the user attacks while the blade glows red, the amount of damage and knockback they will inflict is doubled. During these hits, the sound effect from the Fire Emblem GBA titles will play.

Origin

The Killing Edge is a sword that recurrently appears across the Fire Emblem Series. The Killing Edge substantially boosts the likelihood of its wielder landing a Critical Hit. In the Fire Emblem series, a critical hit causes a weapon to deal substantially more damage than normal. The Killing Edge's appearance in Smash does not strictly resemble a specific appearance, but it takes the most inspiration from its appearance in Fire Emblem Awakening
