Hello everybody, this is ToastUltimatum, somehow still the resident Briton of SmashWiki! I'm a huge fan of the Inazuma Eleven series, and main R.O.B. in Brawl, and Sonic in Smash 4.

For those unfamiliar with me, I was at my most active during 2011 and 2012, back when I was a 16-year old schoolboy with masses of free time on my hands. Brawl had been out for years, so I was proud of myself for finding ways to keep myself active on the wiki. I'd also be in the IRC channel daily over these years, and went down in SmashWiki history as one of the only users to fail an RfA twice.

I was definitely present throughout 2013 and 2014, as I'd often refer to SmashWiki following a new announcement, and I'd sometimes be the first to update the wiki, occasionally getting to make a full article here and there.

But halfway through 2014, two major things happened in my life; one, I started my relationship with my girlfriend, and two, my collab YouTube channel Challengers Approaching was founded. Before I knew it, my attention had shifted from SmashWiki altogether, and more into these things. Heck, I used to dream of starting a RfA on SmashWiki, and yet when Serpent King's RfA lasts a whopping two months, I don't even notice it! At least I got in there second time around.

So nowadays my main purpose on SmashWiki is just to update my Top Games List further down the userpage, but I'm not completely inactive with editing, and SmashWiki will always remain a large part of my life. I hope at least the majority of the modern users know of me in passing!

Of course I'm not amazing with anybody, and I really only see myself winning matches against good players using characters in the top three tiers, but this is what to expect. File:Toast Smash Rankings.png

Signatures I Have Made For Others - Declined Alternatives

To some users, I offered two signatures. The signatures listed here are the alternatives I offered, but the other option was chosen.

  1. Zeldalogo.pngSmash Talk
  2. FireEmblemFan275 FireEmblemSymbol.svg Talk

Some of the signatures listed here will since have been altered by the users that have these signatures assigned to themselves, with some remvoing their images to match a policy that was enforced after the signatures were made, while other users have a different image, font color, or have even changed their username since.

If you have attempted to make a custom signature for yourself, but can't seem to grasp how to do it, you can ask me on my talk page, and I might make one for you. Asking for images in a signature means the signature would take longer, and I'd generally be more motivated to make you a signature if you didn't ask for an image, but I may still do it. You'd probably get a signature quicker from this guy though.

Major Contributions

  • Other miscellanies include:
    • Uploading new images for a notable amount of the character biography articles.
    • Adding / improving the Assist Trophies section on non-character-represented universe pages.
    • Fixed lots of the interwiki links after they were altered.
  • Made the following major proposals:
    • The renaming of the Melee Stage Articles to a simpler paradigm.
    • Project Terahertz, a project ran by myself to make an article for every music track in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, merged into list pages by their franchise. As well as making all of the articles in the template below, I also made the infobox, navigational template and linking that goes with it (excluding Template:SSBBMusicLink, which was made by Toomai.) I have also started the project again with music from Super Smash Bros. 4, detailing the limited number of tracks we know so far.

Boss Battles

NOTE: This is not an attempt to brag. I mainly have this here for my own reference. I have cleared Boss Battles on Intense Difficulty with the following characters, chronologically:

* = I used a Heart Container before fighting Tabuu, but proceeded to defeat Tabuu without taking damage.

My 1-Heart Container run of Boss Battles with Wolf can be seen during my Let's Play of Super Smash Bros. Brawl here. During my run with Ice Climbers, I beat Tabuu using Popo only.

YouTube

I am a Let's Player on YouTube, where I go by the name of TaleOfTheToaster. I have done/are doing the following LP's:

Full-Length Let's Plays

Mini Let's Plays

Challengers Approaching

On my collab channel, I team up with various other Smash fans and content creators to produce "countdowns" (Comedy/Informative Top 10 videos). I'm very proud of all the videos we've made on Challengers Approaching, it'd be great if you had a look: [1]

Super Smash Bros. character rosters

Super Smash Bros. 4

File:ToastUltimatum SSB4 Roster.png

This is a roster I made shortly before E3 2014. I designed it to be a mixture of realism, and personal preference. I found the roster to be realistic by including 45 characters, without overrepresenting any particular series, but some of my newcomers were very wacky. Of course, they were all wrong, but allow me to go over them all.

Newcomers

  • Groose - This guy is my all-time favourite Zelda character, and he has been my choice for the fifth Zelda rep for a long time. So it annoys me that Sheik is hogging the fifth slot all by herself. If they were going to split her from Zelda, she might as well have been Impa! But I digress. I've become very attached to the idea of Groose being in Smash, so in a roster where I don't feel the need to be realistic, I chose to keep him.
  • Ridley - Why the heck is it taking so long for Ridley to become a playable character? He's probably the most deserving Nintendo character left! At the time of writing, he was basically confirmed as a stage hazard, but there was still the chance of it being a big troll from Sakurai in order to generate even more hype. As Ridley wasn't confirmed to be nothing more than a stage hazard, he's eligible for my roster.
  • Mark - As I've said before, I'm a huge fan of Inazuma Eleven, and would love to have a character from it in Smash. Mark is by no means my favourite character in the series, but as the main character, I thought it was the right thing to do. Plus, as a goalkeeper, he wouldn't be restricted to just leg attacks. To the Japanese, Mark counts as third party, but the Inazuma Eleven games are published by Nintendo in Europe, so that's good enough for me.
  • Fossil Fighter - Although I've never played a Fossil Fighters game, I feel it doesn't get enough attention. The games are published by Nintendo, released in Japan and America, with its third game coming out this year! Clearly they must be doing something right! And playing as a ferocious T-Rex... well that would just be bleedin' awesome.
  • Mercedes-Benz - Ah. This one. With the recent partnership between Nintendo and Mercedes-Benz for commercials and Mario Kart 8 DLC, what better way to celebrate than by putting one of their cars in Super Smash Bros.? There is no better way. That is all.

Cuts

  • Ganondorf - This was the hardest cut to make, and my reasoning was quite poor. I wanted Groose, and because Sheik had to become a separate character, this meant someone else had to go to make room for Groose. Ganondorf is the only Zelda character who has not been confirmed, so I had to cut him.
  • Pokémon Trainer - Well this wass practically confirmed at the time anyway.
  • Jigglypuff - Jigglypuff was fun in Melee, but Brawl physics just ruined her. There are Pokémon out there who are much more interesting, most famously Mewtwo, so I cut Jigglypuff.
  • Ness - In order to make the roster 45 characters large, I felt I did not need to include two Mother characters. Most would cut Lucas instead of Ness, but I feel that the more recent protagonist with a distinct personality deserves the place more. Lucas was supposed to release Ness in Melee in the first place, and he can always be tweaked in order to combine the strengths of both characters.
  • Ice Climbers - If I was more generous with the size of my roster, I would include Ice Climbers. However, I decided to be strict, and Ice Climbers are low-priority characters, with a lot of flaws that would have needed a lot of fixing upon their return. And this was the only one I got right.

Super Smash Bros. Meme 2

File:Super Smash Bros. Meme 2 Roster.png

A long, long time ago, I used to make a YouTube series for my channel called Super Smash Bros. Meme, where I would make Smash Bros.-style movesets for many meme characters. The videos had a lot of problems, but I'm still glad to have done it. I later made a Super Smash Bros. Meme 2 roster, without making videos about it. The characters are:

  1. Mario, Link, Kirby, Chuggaaconroy, Guile, Bart Simpson, Rick Astley, Rainbow Dash, Raphael, Shoop Da Whoop
  2. Luigi/Mama Luigi, Zelda, Captain Falcon, N64 Kid, M. Bison, Homer Simpson, Tay Zonday, Star Wars Kid, Barney, Tommy Wiseau
  3. Yoshi, King Harkinian, Falco, Angry Video Game Nerd, Phoenix Wright, Peter Griffin, Leonidas, Admiral Ackbar, Dora The Explorer, Pedobear
  4. Wario, Morshu, Peppy Hare, Irate Gamer, Heavy, Stewie Griffin, Hitler, Tyrannosaurus Alan, Dr. Rabbit, Qwop
  5. Geno, Mudkip, Lamp, Nostalgia Critic, IM MEEN, Spongebob SquarePants, Fegelein, Fresh Prince, Vegeta, Freeview+ Box
  6. Mario's Head, Snivy, Reggie Fils-Aime, Sonic, Frollo, Patrick, Angry German Kid, Kev, Piccolo, Chuck Norris
  7. Weegee, Missingno., Non-Specific Action Figure, Dr. Robotnik, Gaston, Karl Pilkington, Billy Mays, Captain Obvious, Seto Kaiba, Random
