Brawling? If so, come to Special:WebChat. Toast ltimatum 18:53, 11 June 2012 (EDT)
- Can't right now; I need to get all of this deprecated code out of the wiki. But afterwards, I might be able to. Thanks for the offer, Toast. DarkFox01 T C E 18:54, 11 June 2012 (EDT)
IRC User Types[edit]
What exactly is mine supposed to mean? That I rarely come on? I'm not that big on Pokemon, so I'm taking my best guess. BlindColours 08:22, 14 June 2012 (EDT)
- Those types were made to represent the user. I did not make up yours; that was Shwido. Ask him about yours. DarkFox01 T C E 10:52, 14 June 2012 (EDT)
Edit Summaries[edit]
Hey Plaggy, just going to let you know that edit summaries like these; "GRAMMAR POLICE. FREEZE. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST." and "GRAMMAR POLICE...", are totally unacceptable. There is no need to try to be funny and boost your own ego at the expense of another user, your obnoxious attention whoring may discourage others from editing due to the fear of being ridiculed.
Also, when trying to be funny, come up with something original, thx Plaggy.--Shwido ^.^ 17:32, 17 June 2012 (EDT)
Where were you?[edit]
I told you I could brawl today, but you weren't online today. Where were you, and when will you be available next? (Note to anyone else reading this: I'm making a special exception, and no, I will not brawl you, unless you're Dots and I have time) AirConditioner 19:58, 15 July 2012 (EDT)
- Time didn't permit, and I had plans that I hadn't heard of yet. Catch me on IRC some time this week. DarkFox01: Smashing in Summer 20:19, 15 July 2012 (EDT)

A note[edit]
While that user was certainly being ridiculous, the "don't talk back to a bureaucrat" was not needed, nor is it an acceptable mentality to go by here. Being an admin/bureaucrat does not automatically make the user above others. Unless a user's adminship was relevant to the discussion at hand (such as an admin warning another user to stop violating a policy) and a user then proceeded to defy it for the sake of defiance/with no real backing, users are not expected to and do not have to back down just because the other user is an admin/bureaucrat. Omega Tyrant 19:30, 4 November 2012 (EST)
- Ah, yes, sorry about that, OT. Won't do that next time. DarkFox01, ETC. 19:53, 4 November 2012 (EST)

IRC #teh[edit]
For some reason we haven't been able to meet up with each other in a while. Even though were still both active on #teh, we seems to have a different preference of time of when we get on. Do you know when we could meet again there? Thanks. Dots The Achiever 20:30, 20 January 2013 (EST)
Don't do[edit]
what you just did on the Target Smash page. That separates the page history from its content. DoctorPain99 23:15, 8 February 2013 (EST)
- Sorry about that. Come to think of it now, I should have just contacted an admin. Thanks, DP. DarkFox01Father? 23:35, 8 February 2013 (EST)
- I asked Porple to do it because I thought he was online, but it looks like I was too late. GAAAAAAAH! OT or somebody will probably take care of it if they see it (and then lecture me about abuse of Rollback). DoctorPain99 23:38, 8 February 2013 (EST)
Yo[edit]
Your sig's compliance with SW:SIGN is...iffy. You're not really supposed to have links to things other than your userspace, your user talk page, and special pages relating to you (Contributions, Edit Count, etc.) DoctorPain99 18:34, 20 February 2013 (EST)
Your videos[edit]
Hello there! I've seen the videos you've added, and they're looking great! However, do you think you could add some on-screen text as well? That would make them even better! Ac2k 15:46, 8 March 2013 (EST)
- The on-screen text and commentaries are actually what makes such demonstration video's bad; I'd prefer just a simple showing of what the video is about, maybe with one explaining text line, and that's it.--PSIWolf a.k.a. Luna! 15:55, 8 March 2013 (EST)
Your Smash 4 prediction ballot[edit]
Hi, in your ballot, you have to select at least 10 newcomers. You can fix this now, without incurring the changing selections penalty. Omega Tyrant 16:28, 18 June 2013 (EDT)
Proper way to title disambiguations?[edit]
Is there actually a policy for that? The closest I've seen is Category talk:Disambiguation. - Ceci n’est pas un Smiddle. 14:22, 24 June 2013 (EDT)
- Well, based on what I saw on that page, it appears as if most of the active users want disambigs to have redirects like that. DarkFox01The Legendary 16:44, 24 June 2013 (EDT)
- Fair enough. I myself would like to see such a poll get finished for a concrete policy, as I find this titling system redundant. - Ceci n’est pas un Smiddle. 17:16, 24 June 2013 (EDT)
Mafia[edit]
Sorry I didn't respond to your message, was watching TV. I don't think so; I have to renew my health card and I'm also addicted to a new game. RoyboyX Talk 22:58, 26 June 2013 (EDT)
Brawling[edit]
Hi! Can I play a few matches with you? My code is 0648-6416-9760.Boo Buddy (talk) 03:51, 14 July 2013 (EDT)
- I haven't played for a while, but if you're available any time during the summer break (until around August 20 for me) and if you're on IRC, I'd love to do that. I won't be available this Saturday, but I'll be available for almost every other day this break. DarkFox01The Sidecrolling 17:04, 14 July 2013 (EDT)
I am on summer break. And you can also add me on Mario Kart Wii if you want. My code there is 3869-8837-7184. I will look after you on the IRC next week.Boo Buddy (talk) 17:25, 14 July 2013 (EDT)
That was atrocious.[edit]
Do not abuse the dice function on ChanServ like that. DoctorPain99 17:17, 24 July 2013 (EDT)
- My apologies. Were there/will there be any consequences (i.e. bans)? DarkFox01used the brake! 17:31, 24 July 2013 (EDT)
- I don't believe so, as I'm not an op and no ops were on at the time. Just make sure to not do it again. DoctorPain99 17:33, 24 July 2013 (EDT)

I already knew that what Brandondorf said is wrong, but either way, thanks for replying while I was away. Scr7(talk · contribs) 11:06, 16 September 2013 (EDT)
Plural redirects[edit]
I feel the plural redirects you recently made are unnecessary. It would be simpler to have any letters that should be added be outside the brackets, like [[Primid]]s to obtain Primids. If letters have to be removed or changed to make a plural form, like "trophies" from trophy, that would be all right to have. Berrenta (talk) 15:38, 30 August 2014 (EDT)
- I realized that in hindsight. Thanks for approaching me on the issue. DarkFox01The DK Summiteer 22:46, 30 August 2014 (EDT)
Peach's Palette Swaps[edit]
Greetings! I registered on Smash Wiki two days ago! I've performed large updates on Peach (SSB4). I have to say I've been quite passionated about updating this thread! My concern is that you chose to remove this picture from the page and I wonder why : http://www.ssbwiki.com/File:SSB4_Peach_Famitsu_Scan_Alts.png
I believe it is superior in terms of quality. In addition, it shows the entirety of Peach's dresses. I would like to put it back on immediately, but perhaps there is something about it that bothers you? Thank you! --ZeroBlindDragon (talk) 22:54, 18 September 2014 (EDT)
- Good question. I was following Toomai's orders, which he stated in a conversation on IRC; he told me to put the one I did on the pages to match the SSB4 palette swap page. Thanks for checking with me. DarkFox01is in the Arwing 00:48, 26 September 2014 (EDT)
'ey[edit]
The image "MiiFighterIcon(SSB4-U).png" is going to be deleted. Please replace it with the newer variants beforehand, or I'll do it myself by simply removing it. XL 11:56, 23 November 2014 (EST)
- Dealt with; thank you for the notice. DarkFox01 *insert explosion here* 13:44, 27 November 2014 (EST)
This is what I don't get[edit]
you have recently uploaded images then tagging them speedy deletion. Explain why your doing this. (Smashworker101 (talk) 00:01, 3 January 2015 (EST))
- I moved those images, which were uploaded on September 23, 2014, to different file names to match the names of the custom moves. The old names, which are unused redirects, are what I have tagged for speedy deletion. Thanks for your concern. DarkFox01b^.^d 00:08, 3 January 2015 (EST)
- Thank you for the answer. (Smashworker101 (talk) 01:17, 3 January 2015 (EST))
Further note about boss move names[edit]
Like I said on my talk page, I'm unable to post scans of the Smash Bros. guide, but I've done as much as I can to ensure the secondary sources are accurate, I've cross-referenced the information with a bunch of other sites that cite the guide and have no reason to doubt the posted info is what the moves are called there.
However, with regards to Brawl bosses, I again only have the page for Duon, but I did find something of note that could verify the Tabuu move names' credibility further. The Off Waves move is written as "オフウェーブ" instead of "OFF波動", like in my edit, but on the actual Dojo blog, it's written like the latter, meaning the page's Japanese name is incorrect.
I understand why wiki administration might be against listing the names as there's not an easy verifiable way to check them due to the materials being a bit hard to get ahold of, but as someone who edits a lot of wikis for obscure games, second-hand sources are how I find a lot of information that'd otherwise be lost due to said info only being available in out-of-print books and the like. I really hope my edits can be reinstated, as I'd legitimately hate for the information to be lost due to a lack of available photos of said books. BubbleRevolution (talk) 19:31, June 17, 2021 (EDT)
- I was able to see your scans, and I'm impressed they could be found. I'm not questioning their veracity, but what I am questioning is whether or not it makes sense for the wiki to change the names. SmashWiki is not official, and if there's a colloquial name for them that's more widely accepted, or if there are conflicting sources in different languages, I imagine the names would stay as is on the boss' pages. Great finds regardless. Unfortified Castle 19:38, June 17, 2021 (EDT)
- I do understand that, but as wikis are made to be encyclopedic, I feel like having officially sanctioned move names makes more sense than fanmade ones. As far as I know, the boss move names used on the wiki are conjectural, and I don't think that most people give much thought to the boss move name regardless and just say "the laser attack" or "the bomb attack" when referring to said moves, which is why I think it makes sense to use the official ones. For instance, a lot of people refer to Lucas' up smash as "PK Love" due to its resemblance to the move in Mother 3, but on his pages the wiki uses the official name, "PK Smash Geyser".
- In regards to conflicting names in other languages, as far as I know, the Japanese names are the only known names for the attacks, as most official foreign guides don't bother to break the encounters down into sections on specific attacks. I flipped through my old Brawl and Smash 4 guides to make sure, and there's just a blurb about the boss fights without much specific detail on their attacks.
