Warp Pipes are a frequent sight in Super Smash Bros. games, hailing from the Mario series.
In Super Smash Bros.
The Mushroom Kingdom stage has three warp pipes. Two of them can be entered, and the character which entered it will appear in one of the two others randomly, though if one is blocked, they will always come out of the other.
Mario and Luigi's on-screen appearances have a Warp Pipe rise from the ground for them to jump out of onto the stage.
Luigi's Target Test stage also features large platforms based on Warp Pipes.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
In Melee, Warp Pipes commonly serve as platforms, such as in Yoshi's Island.
In the Mushroom Kingdom stage in Adventure Mode, they also serve as "checkpoints," in that if the player is KOed, they will re-spawn at the last Warp Pipe they passed.
There are also three that appear in the background of Mushroom Kingdom, and another three in the platforms.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario and Luigi's on-screen appearances have a Warp Pipe rise from the ground for them to jump out of onto the stage, repeating its role from the original game.
A Warp Pipe also appears on an island in the Delfino Plaza stage.
In the background of the Mario Circuit, various Warp Pipes can be seen.
Lastly, they appear as obstacles on the stage Mushroomy Kingdom.
In Super Smash Bros. 4
The 3D Land stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS contains a Warp Pipe. One of the drawings in PictoChat 2 is a group of warp pipes placed on the floor and just inside the left, up and right stage boundaries. It is possible to enter a pipe by crouching on top of it, and come out of a different one in the stage, like in Smash 64's Mushroom Kingdom.
