Zelda (SSB4)

Zelda (ゼルダ, Zeruda) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. She was announced on December 26, 2013, the date on which The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was released in Japan. It is not currently known whether Sheik returns as her transformation. Unlike other characters, Zelda did not get any notable appearance changes, sporting the same realistic look from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess that she had in Brawl, albeit with general graphical upgrades.

Confirmed information

  • The following moves appear visually unchanged:
    • Neutral attack
    • Forward tilt, though with new visual effects to match its slash effect.
    • Forward smash
    • Neutral aerial
    • Farore's Wind
    • Side taunt
    • Down taunt
  • Din's Fire will receive additional buffing, with its explosion now growing larger the longer the move is projected, and it'll now have a more powerful sweet spot when enemies are in the fire ball's center when ignited.
