Differences from Roy

Aesthetics

  • Change Chrom has a different idle stance and different taunts. One taunt is based off of his official artwork in Fire Emblem Awakening, which pairs with the one done for Lucina's up taunt, counter, and render in SSB4.

Attributes

  • Change Unlike Roy, Chrom's attacks lack a flame effect.
  • Change Chrom's Falchion appears to lack a sweetspot and deals consistent damage throughout, like Lucina's Falchion.

Ground attacks

  • Change Forward tilt has a different animation, with Chrom holding Falchion in a proper grip, unlike Roy's reverse grip.
  • Change Up tilt appears similar to Marth and Lucina's.

Special Moves

  • Change When using his neutral special, Chrom's sword charges with a wind effect before it unleashes a blue blast.
  • Change Chrom's up special appears to be a faster version of Ike's Aether. Instead of throwing his sword first, he performs an upwards slash.
  • Change Chrom appears to have a unique Final Smash, inspired from Aether's portrayal in Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Trivia
