Gaur Plains is a stage in both versions of Super Smash Bros. 4 from Xenoblade Chronicles. It seems to be a very large stage, similar to Hyrule Temple in Melee, New Pork City in Brawl and Palutena's Temple in Wii U/3DS. At the end of Shulk's reveal trailer, Metal Face is hinted to play some role in the game, likely as a stage boss for this stage.

Overview

Very little is currently known about the stage. There are two main rock platforms that are on each side of the stage with smaller platforms below. The center of the stage appears vacant. The stage also has a day/night cycle.

Origin

Gaur Plains originates from Xenoblade Chronicles. It is a location within the greater Bionis' Leg area. Shulk and his friend Reyn traverse this area to get to the Bionis' Head. The gigantic figure seen in the distance is the Mechonis, another location in the game.
