The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Dr. Mario is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He is the first and only veteran that was cut before returning in a future installment in the series. Dr. Mario's design has been updated to include the red tie he has had since Dr. Mario 64, while still retaining his black pants from Melee. His hair is a lighter shade of brown.
He retains the Megavitamins and Dr. Tornado in his moveset. His Final Smash is similar to Mario Finale, but it instead uses exploding pills.
Changes from Melee
- Jab combo is faster.
- Dr. Mario jumps slightly higher.
- Forward smash is stronger.
- Down air deals 1% more damage total.
- Dash attack deals 1% more damage.
- Super Jump Punch is now a strong KO move close up.
- Back air deals much stronger damage and knockback.
- Although it has stronger knockback scaling, its base knockback seems to be lowered a bit.
- Dr. Tornado has a faster startup and a slightly longer duration. The move itself is also harder to escape from. Additionally you can recover more by mashing B.
- It has slightly extended ending lag.
- Down tilt has lower damage.
- Up tilt deals lower damage.
- Up air deals less damage.
- Down smash deals much less damage.
- Super Sheet deals less damage.
- Megavitamins deal less damage.
- They are much more brightly colored, lack the see-through half, and appear to be shorter, but more rounded.
- Now has various things that Brawl introduced like On-screen Appearances, multiple taunts and a final Smash.
- Dr. Mario now grabs with one hand as opposed to two.
