Toon Link (トゥーンリンク, Tūn Rinku) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. He was announced on the official website on September 26th, 2013. Toon Link was announced on the release date of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD in Japan.[1] A link to the official site on the game appears at the bottom of Toon Link's website page. In addition to being a playable character, Link from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks appears in a similar cel-shaded style in the background of the Spirit Train stage.

- Retains equipment exclusive to The Wind Waker version of Toon Link, i.e. the Master Sword, Hero's Shield, and Wind Waker.
