After repeatedly struggling to host a major in the post-online era, including the previous two Riptide events falling short in terms of talent, the Midwest finally hosted their first Ultimate major since The Big House 10 in 2022 and their first Ultimate supermajor since the first Riptide in 2021. The tournament featured eight of the previous season's top 10, with only acola and TamaPDaifuku not present, and with over 1,000 entrants and a x2 multiplier present, this tournament was able to reach P-tier on the LumiRank 2024.2, making it one of the largest Ultimate events in the Midwest and the largest post-quarantine Midwest Ultimate event.

Ultimately, four of the top 8 seeds were able to make it into the top 8, with Sparg0 being the only player to not drop a single game before top 8.

Top 8 also went mostly as expected. The top 4 sans Sparg0 notably were eliminated by the same player who had defeated them on the winner's side: Riddles lost 1-3 to Sonix for 4th, Sonix lost 2-3 to Shuton for 3rd, and Shuton lost 1-3 to Sparg0 for 2nd. This tournament marked Sparg0's second P-tier win in a row, putting him as the frontrunner for the #1 spot for the LumiRank 2024.2 season. In addition, this tournament was Shuton's best supermajor performance since Maesuma TOP 7 two years prior. Finally, this tournament marked the end of Sonix's 2nd-place streak and the first time he did not make Grand Finals at a major/supermajor since Super Smash Con 2023.
