The LumiRank 2024.2 is an ongoing power ranking that will list the world's best Super Smash Bros. Ultimate smashers for the second half of 2024.
Methodology
- See also: LumiRank#General methodology
The regional seat concept was refined in this season; for a region to be considered a "regional seat", it must meet the following criteria:
- For regions in the United States and Japan, it will be based off whether the region's top five players score an average rank of 100 or more, with the ranking being based off the LumiRank 2023 North America and LumiRank 2023 Japan, respectively.
- For regions in Europe, it will be based off whether the region's top five players score an average rank of 5 or more, with the ranking being based off the LumiRank 2023 Europe
- For regions in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, they must have multiple representatives on their respective LumiRank 2023 regional rankings.
- For other regions, it will be based off players in the top spots of their unpublished regional rankings.
Several adjustments were also made to the player points system, including the toning down of invitational values and players who make the top 100 or the top 100 honorable mentions list no longer counting for regional rankings, with the next eligible players replacing them. In addition, following controversies with the inclusion of Litvitational 2 on the 2024.1 season TTS and the initial inclusions of the pre-Supernova 2024 invitationals Dr Insanos Bonfire and SMFN Invitational on this season's TTS, eligibility requirements for pre-major invitationals were changed to match the eligibility requirements for pre-major locals.
