Lea (れあ) is a Japanese Greninja main from the prefecture of Saitama who is considered the best Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Greninja player in the world. Lea is ranked 15th on the discontinued Japan Player Rankings, 22nd on the Experimental Smash Player Rankings, and 21st on the Fall 2019 PGRU and has defeated top players like ProtoBanham, VoiD, Gackt, KEN, Shuton, Dabuz, Tea, and Sonix.

Lea also played Greninja in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and was considered the best Smash 4 Greninja player in the world. He has wins over top players such as KEN, VoiD, ANTi, kameme, Kirihara, Tsu, Choco, and Raito. Lea is currently ranked 32nd on the JAPAN Smash 4 Power Rankings.

Lea has had some incredibly high peaks, placing 5th/256 at KOWLOON 1, 7th/768 at Kagaribi 7 and 9th/1239 at Frostbite 2019. He is considered to have the best placements at majors out of every SSBU Greninja.

On January 5th, 2021, Lea joined the newly founded Japanese organization Team Vrilliant (known as Vrilliant Owl X at the time) as their first Smash player, along with ProtoBanham. However, Team Vrilliant disbanded its Smash Division on July 7th 2022.

Playstyle

Lea is a Greninja player who excels at playing outside of his opponent's burst range and baiting specific options. He makes good use of Water Shuriken if his opponent doesn't want to commit to an approach option. Lea's playstyle is super consistent, as he plays patient with reliable strings using Nair on platforms and up tilt extensions. Recently, however, Lea hasn't been making top 8 at majors very often.
