Your communication skills[edit]
I'd like to know what your first language is, because it's very hard to understand whatever it is you're saying in most cases. Toomai Glittershine The Jiggy 23:57, 1 October 2011 (EDT)
- I speak english usually because thats my language that i speak.--Brandondorf 00:10, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
- On his Youtube, I've noticed he says things way more clearly, why that isn't the case everywhere else I don't know. Blindcolours TONDA GOSSA. 00:04, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
- Actually yes and i do speak english. I don't speak other languages than that so i can talk clearly on any site too.--Brandondorf 00:10, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
- So you say you can speak English clearly - then why don't you? 90% of your grammar on this wiki is bad enough that you come across as a 12-year old French guy. It's hard to work with someone that as far as we can tell has a language disorder. Toomai Glittershine The Metroid 10:26, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
- Yes i speak english. I'm not a french guy and i live in the united states.--Brandondorf 10:33, 2 October 2011 (EDT)

Atrocious edit war[edit]
This is unacceptable. If ReiDemon reverted your version of the file, you should have stopped there and discussed on the talk page. Regardless of whether Miles agreed with you at some point, you are expected to follow SW:1RV. Yes, ReiDemon and BC also violated that rule during that edit war, but I have seen you breach policy multiple times now. Mr. Anontalk 17:35, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
Remember what I said about how your next ban for image related issues will be a long term ban? Stop now. Omega Tyrant 17:41, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
You're walking a thin line[edit]
Read SW:TALK, as well as all our other policies.
You seemed like you were improving, stop showing complete disregard of our policies. Omega Tyrant 18:49, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
User page images[edit]
You seem to be uploading a lot of images just for your user page (counting your effects). Though there is no rule saying that you can't have too many personal user page images, you should avoid uploading more. MegaTron1XD 22:15, 2 October 2011 (EDT)
- The reason because it can show info about me and what i like. You can post as many as you want. Its personal.--Brandondorf 23:31, 2 October 2011 (EDT)

Why upload all those unnecessary images? ..... Happy New Year 17:32, 27 December 2011 (EST)
The Ganondorf images[edit]
How did you make them transparent? ZeldasmashTalk 18:45, 30 December 2011 (EST)
- Because the fire is transparent and it blends materials.--BrandondorfFile:Lemsdadhead_(SSBB).png|6px 18:47, 30 December 2011 (EST)
You've been warned before[edit]
Stop "adding transparency" to screenshots. They're not artwork; the term "artwork" implies that the image was created outside the game, which clearly isn't true for the images you've been defacing. Toomai Glittershine The Labbie 20:11, 30 December 2011 (EST)
- The reasons they need it because they look like there are not in-game images.--Brandondorf 20:18, 30 December 2011 (EST)
- They quite obviously are in-game screenshots, taken using debug mode functions to make the entire stage black. Toomai Glittershine The Victorious 20:20, 30 December 2011 (EST)
- A debug mode. How would the debug mode make backgrounds black?--Brandondorf 21:17, 30 December 2011 (EST)

Image filenames are not required to have spaces. Moving them in such situations is non-beneficial. Miles (talk) 23:13, 30 December 2011 (EST)
- I know but one image i had to change to was the Thorned Helix so that it have no LQ word on the filename.--Brandondorf 23:15, 30 December 2011 (EST)
Image names[edit]
I'd like to point out how it's unnecessary to fix the image names like so. Doing so would cause a bit of trouble, since you have to change every page that links to it. MegaTron1XD 00:27, 31 December 2011 (EST)
Communication[edit]
Toomai raised this issue before. Unless you are editing on a phone, make your posts clear so that people understand what you are trying to say. Posts like "Yes thats what i like to use for making a fake/false bad character that which was based on the game when they were copied by the shadow bugs" are difficult to read due to poor grammar and spelling. You may understand what you mean, but others do not. A trick to testing this is saying your statement out loud. Mr. Anontalk 15:34, 20 January 2012 (EST)
- Its the text you have to read and i think its because of the sharpness or resolution.--Brandondorf 17:25, 20 January 2012 (EST)
I'm going to lay this out nice and simple for you.[edit]
If you upload an image that is edited in any way ever again, you will be blocked for a year or more. This includes:
- Anything that involves an edited image, which includes fades, saturations, contrast changes, cropping, scaling, and so on
- Anything that involves an edited game, which includes texture hacks, model hacks, emulators with any codes turned on, and so on
In addition, you will also be blocked for a few days or a week every time you say something that is not reasonably grammatically-correct English.
Frankly, I'm tired of dealing with you, and I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same. You simply do not appear to learn from your mistakes, and your apparent inability to type proper English does nothing but make it seem like you're some 8-year old talking through an internet translator. So either stop uploading illegitimate images and start communicating properly, or go away. Toomai Glittershine The Jiggy 09:17, 23 January 2012 (EST)
- I'm not currently editing screenshots but for that i think widescreen images can be uploaded if from Dolphin.--Brandondorf 12:43, 23 January 2012 (EST)
- Melee does not have a widescreen option, so widescreen screenshots of it are not acceptable. Brawl does have a widescreen option, but the screenshots you had recently uploaded of it were still wider than they're supposed to be, and were thus also unacceptable. Toomai Glittershine Le Grand Fromage 13:26, 23 January 2012 (EST)
- Its called "Widescreen Hack" and "Stretch to Window" Aspect Ratio option. You have go to "Graphics", change the aspect ratio to Stretch to Window, click the Advanced tab and check Widescreen Hack. Its simple.--Brandondorf 14:00, 23 January 2012 (EST)
- Yes, it's a hack. That's why it's not acceptable. Toomai Glittershine The Ghostbuster 14:05, 23 January 2012 (EST)
- Toomai's point is that the widescreen you are using simply fills what would otherwise be black bars with a continuation of the background image. Sometimes, this works, but a lot of the time the background wasn't tailored to be used in widescreen, or the widescreen uses a different background image to the 4:3, so you end up with awful things like this. Video games aren't good at switching between aspect ratios; most of the time they simply stretch the image instead to give a false widescreen effect. And even if the game was good at making the image truly widescreen, that's not what the game originally looked like, and this wiki is about the games, not what you can do with the game files when running them through an emulator. The new versions you uploaded were therefore either pointless or ugly, depending on how well the game handled the widescreen at the time. It is obvious to most people seeing those images that the new versions you uploaded were objectively worse, and if you think otherwise, maybe you aren't suited to editing this wiki. PenguinofDeath 14:16, 23 January 2012 (EST)
What did he just say?
I've tried to be fair and patient with you, even at times defend you, but at this point I completely agree with Toomai. He made it very clear what SmashWiki would not accept, and you went ahead and did it anyways. If you're here in 2013 when the world is destroyed, just remember that when an admin warns you to not do something, even if you are unsure about whether your action violates his warning, don't do it. Goodbye. Mr. Anontalk 00:23, 9 February 2012 (EST)
You get one warning.[edit]
Your first edit after being blocked for a year is exactly the same thing that got you blocked in the first place: uploading images from emulators at illegal sizes for use in the mainspace. Do this one more time and you'll be getting another year-long block. Do not try to argue. Toomai Glittershine The Different 21:26, 30 June 2013 (EDT)
You missed the point.[edit]
Just having an image at the correct resolution is not good enough. They must also not be hacked in any way to expose content that is not normally visible without such hacks. Toomai Glittershine The Hammer 18:55, 13 September 2013 (EDT)
- It's not hacked, it's just the full shot of the in-game area along with the old full screen transfers that display things like that such as the New Line Home Entertainment logo I've saw that contains more top and bottom. As for sure, that's because of the camera that displays things like that. Maybe you may want to change the in-game field of view camera on brawlbox for their camera configurations.--Brandondorf 18:58, 13 September 2013 (EDT)
- You clearly do not know how display devices work. If you want to take a screenshot of size 640x480, change the game's settings to 4:3, not 16:9. (The game's settings, not the emulator's settings.) Only then can you get a proper screenshot. Toomai Glittershine The Labbie 19:04, 13 September 2013 (EDT)
- Please (once again) go over this wiki's image policy. Edited images, such as those with hacks, should not normally be uploaded to the mainspace. You should know this, as you have been blocked for offending that part of the policy in the past. DarkFox01The Smasher 20:56, 15 September 2013 (EDT)

- Just to be clear. What you suggested Scr7 to do on his talk page is explicitly the opposite of what I told you to do above. Don't tell other people to do the things that you deservedly earn blocks for. Toomai Glittershine The Quiet 21:22, 15 September 2013 (EDT)
"480p"[edit]
Maybe 853px is valid for some forms of 480p, maybe it isn't, I'm not 100% sure. But regardless, a Wii cannot display any more than 640 pixels wide or 480 pixels tall. So any screenshot larger than either of those sizes should in general not be uploaded. Toomai Glittershine The Yellow 19:06, 9 November 2013 (EST)
- Hm, I didn't see that 853x480 had 480p. I guess 720p would be like 720, 768 or higher on height. Maybe 640x360 should work for that point.--Brandondorf 20:20, 9 November 2013 (EST)
This[edit]
Hey Brandondorf,
Please do not revert another user's revert on an article or file. As a result of you violating this policy, I had to put this image back to the version Megatron1 uploaded. To learn more about the policy, please click the link in the section title or in the first sentence.
Thank you. DarkFox01Say your prayers, Andross! 21:23, 10 November 2013 (EST)
- Except in this case Brandondorf9999 was (shockingly enough) correct, as there is no evidence that his version of the image is hacked or incorrect in any way. Toomai Glittershine The Celeritous 21:54, 10 November 2013 (EST)
Scaling algorithm images[edit]
The xBRz scaled images you are uploading are not permissible. Do not upload any further images of this sort. Miles (talk) 21:30, 9 January 2014 (EST)
Edit warring[edit]
I'm sure you've been told about this countless times before, but please pay attention to SW:1RV. Scr7(talk · contribs) 16:45, 21 January 2014 (EST)
- Dots seems to be reverting the newer uploads as I upload new versions of photos for each article. But he seems to reject those changes and revert them back to where they were.--Brandondorf 16:47, 21 January 2014 (EST)
- You should at least bring the issues up on the talk pages earlier. Scr7(talk · contribs) 16:49, 21 January 2014 (EST)
- I've talked to him about it, hopefully he won't make those mistakes on those widescreen re-uploads again.--Brandondorf 16:53, 21 January 2014 (EST)
- We told you many time in the past before though. Don't upload screenshots that are much larger than a usual Wii screenshot. And don't have those edited emulator glitchy parts in them as well. Dots (talk) The Cutie 16:57, 21 January 2014 (EST)
- Alright, you got it. I just thought that game uses Vert- if 4:3 is set, the top and bottom are uncropped and 16:9 is normal that way. I just like it when 4:3 uses the same width, but with more height introduced.--Brandondorf 16:58, 21 January 2014 (EST)

Listen shit. You have been told over and over again to pay attention to Only Fucking Revert Once and you keep fucking ignoring it. You have been told again and again to stop uploading modified images that are larger than what the Wii can handle, yet you keep fucking doing it. I can't block you but I can say this: you have been blocked indefinitely on MarioWiki, do not get blocked here as well. It might hurt your standing on other NIWA wikis. RoyboyX Talk 17:02, 21 January 2014 (EST)
If you violate 1RV one more time, you will be banned permanently from SmashWiki. You have been given many chances to improve your behavior and adhere to site rules, and this is your last one. Either shape up or you're done here. Miles (talk) 18:29, 21 January 2014 (EST)
