Multiple edits

Don't make multiple edits to one page, do everything in one edit. The Preview button helps.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png YESH! WOLF! 11:31, 18 June 2011 (EDT)

You still aren't doing this. Do everything in one edit please.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png YESH! WOLF! 12:00, 18 June 2011 (EDT)
He's not causing any trouble. Two or three edits to the same page is OK, because it doesn't clog up Special:RecentChanges, and everyone makes mistakes. More than two or three edits to the same page is when it gets to be a problem. I usually warn a user when they reach more than five edits on the same page. DoctorPain99 (Talk • Contribs) DoctorPain99.png 12:03, 18 June 2011 (EDT)
No it isn't. Read this.--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png YESH! WOLF! 12:06, 18 June 2011 (EDT)
Not really because i'm actually fixing things that were not supposed to have and has to be enhanced some how.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 12:14, 18 June 2011 (EDT)
@Wolf: In that example, Mr. Anon had made 5 consecutive edits to the same page when Mr. Brandondorf (cool username, btw) only made three. Three is not too many. Unless you go on recent changes and see it being clogged up at the top with 10% or more (5 edits) of the edits being the same page by the same user, there's no need to bug a user for making a couple edits to the same page. When uploading images

Avoid editing the brightness or background :| MegaTron1XD:p 12:34, 18 June 2011 (EDT)

I know but there just not right. They have to be dark on the black which is based on the picture.
They are correct as is. MegaTron1XD:p 12:36, 18 June 2011 (EDT)

That means stop the image editing. MegaTron1XD:p 15:14, 18 June 2011 (EDT)

Some tips

1. Respond to messages on your talk page here, not on the other person's talk page. Conversations on this Wiki are meant to be kept in the same place.

2. For image editing, only do it for those of truly poor quality. Don't edit images to make them brighter, of a different contrast, etc., that are fine as. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 15:26, 18 June 2011 (EDT)

Please read number 2. MegaTron1XD:p 12:23, 19 June 2011 (EDT)

Yeah. This image in particular is definitely worse than the current version - it's distorted and has a ton of artifacts. Editing images to remove bars around the outside is fine but anything more is unecessary. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Inconceivable 12:29, 19 June 2011 (EDT)
Is editing out bars still good if it is like that in the game?--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png YESH! WOLF! 12:30, 19 June 2011 (EDT)
Yes i certainly think so because its not supposed to show them. Thats why i have to crop em to be a good picture and its barless.--Brandondorf 12:32, 19 June 2011 (EDT)
Maybe it is...?--Wolf rulez! WolfHeadSSBB.png YESH! WOLF! 12:33, 19 June 2011 (EDT)

Stop edit warring or you will get a block. Instead, leave the article/image how it is and discuss the matter on its talk page. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Emissary 13:17, 19 June 2011 (EDT)

Dude...

Stop adding speculation that is obviously wrong, and please use proper punctuation. Forbidden7MewtwoHeadSSBM.png 21:01, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

I'm not doing anything that isn't relating to the characters. I'm putting things to where they came from.--Brandondorf (talk) 21:04, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Yes,but it's WRONG. Check your facts before writing bad info down please. Forbidden7MewtwoHeadSSBM.png 21:08, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Also,stop f**king up the images. They're fine as is. Forbidden7MewtwoHeadSSBM.png 21:29, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Uh they have to match this screenshot:
GreenHillZoneStH.png

and besides it has to be like that contrast because it has to be dvd quality and its not vhs ones.--Brandondorf (talk) 21:33, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

NO IT DOES NOT! DON'T YOU GET IT!? THATS BAD IMAGE EDITING. LEAVE IT AS IT IS! Forbidden7MewtwoHeadSSBM.png 21:36, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Can you undo that, because that's not the USA box art. Forbidden7MewtwoHeadSSBM.png 22:35, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Question

For the starter characters images, you decide to put unlockable characters with the starters.

Proof:

Why? --24.11.24.139 08:39, 5 July 2011 (EDT)

Because it can be any screenshot it wants to be accosiated to that menu.--Brandondorf (talk) 09:22, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
If you understood the purpose of those images you'd know that they're suppoed to be of the starters only, with no unlockables. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Irrepressible 09:39, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
I'm sorry but i seen the one with unlockables on it. Its the ones with all characters on it and its not just starters only.--Brandondorf (talk) 15:38, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Why can't you just upload new images for the unlockable ones? --24.11.24.139 17:16, 5 July 2011 (EDT)

Please stop adding images of "hacks"...

and then putting it on the page about the real deal. Forbidden7MewtwoHeadSSBM.png 09:01, 5 July 2011 (EDT)

A warning

If you upload any more images that are in any way fake or hacked (which, by the way, are the same thing), and you use them on pages other than your userpage, then you will earn yourself a block. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Superlative 09:38, 5 July 2011 (EDT)

Here are things you can do with uploaded images:

 • Upload a larger/higher quality image (that isn't just a small image stretched) for an uploaded image that is of decidedly low quality.
 • Crop out bars within images (assuming the bars aren't part of the original image).
 • Upload a new image in the place of an old image if it's more fitting of what the original image was portraying and only if the old image is made obsolete by the new version (I also strongly recommend discussing this before uploading a completely new image to replace an old one, and absolutely never edit war over this).

Things you cannot do with uploaded images:

 • Edit ingame screenshots or official artwork in any way.
 • Uploading fake/edited/hacked images and screenshots, and including them in a mainspace article passing them off as the real deal. The only exception to this is if it's a mainspace article specifically having to do with the fake/edited/hacked image or screenshot in question (such as having a snapshot of Link with a Fierce Deity texture in the texture hacks article).
 • Uploading a new, different image in the place of an old image just because you think yours is better. We have galleries and multiple images of the same subject for a reason.

When dealing with images, adhere to these guidelines from now on. Also, when someone reverts an image change of yours, do not edit war with them. Go to the talk page and discuss it properly before reverting again. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 14:53, 5 July 2011 (EDT)

Well bars they all have to be off and its barless. Thats why i detect bar errors and they have to be cropped. You can't revert them to a bad one. So leave it bar less.--Brandondorf (talk) 15:30, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
We do not have a rule that says "images have to be barless", why do you think we do? Toomai Glittershine ??? The Steppin' 16:24, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
I'm just saying i know you don't have those rules.--Brandondorf (talk) 16:34, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
I also don't think you realize that quite a few things have black bars in-game. If something has black bars in-game then you aren't allowed to get rid of them (since that would be editing an ingame screenshot). Toomai Glittershine ??? The Jiggy 16:56, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Well actually i have to get rid of them because they can only be seen in videos and other things only. Not photos. If its a photo then it has to be cropped so those are not in-game bars. Those are bars to preserve the original aspect ratio and those are to be cropped because it has to be the ratio that which is found on so sorry they have to come off.--Brandondorf (talk) 17:02, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
In game snapshots are supposed to emulate exactly what you see in game, not what a photo should look like. So when see those black bars in game, they are not to be removed. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 19:36, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
I'm sorry but there not part of the game so leave it off period!--Brandondorf (talk) 20:42, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Did you play Brawl? MegaTron1XD:p 20:44, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Yes but for images, bars are not needed. If you capture it then they come off.--Brandondorf (talk) 20:45, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
For still images of the pic, they are indeed needed. MegaTron1XD:p 20:45, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
No they are definitely not needed so no they have to be cropped.--Brandondorf (talk) 20:48, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Let's think about things, shall we? Now loading is a part of the screen, so it should definitly be on. Only in game screen shots like the pics you would take in normal gameplay would have to be cropped, and that is only if it came from an emulator. MegaTron1XD:p 20:51, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Even if it doesn't then it still has to be cropped.--Brandondorf (talk) 20:54, 5 July 2011 (EDT)
Yah, you're not reading things at all. It's either that, or you're too stubborn to listen. MegaTron1XD:p 20:55, 5 July 2011 (EDT)

Even though you are currently blocked,I will not wait to type this message. I am going to be very serious here, and keep in mind I am not trying to do an admins job,I am merely trying to be serious. With that out of the way,I will the list of things you have constantly done wrong.

1.Constant editing of images that do not need editing.

2.Constant edit warring over these edited images with no good reason for reverting.

3.Adding false images and putting them in the article on the real deal.

4.Saying said false images are from a "hacked" version, which is a lie.

5.Adding obviously false speculation that you didn't check to see if it was true.

A note about how this wiki works

Firstly, we are not a part of Wikia. Therefore, no Wikia staff members exist here, so you can't go running to them if you think you have a problem. You would instead go to the admin noticeboard and post your complaint there.

Secondly, admins do not get in trouble for blocking users. It's their job to block users that ignore the rules of the wiki and don't listen to others. If some admin were to be punished for blocking, it would only be if they did something big like block the entire userbase. That hasn't happened here and most likely never will.

Thirdly, your penchant for very large images is not helpful in any way. Images larger than around 800 pixels wide can't be viewed without shrinking on quite a lot of monitors. Even the hitbox images I make are at Brawl's natural resolution of 640 by 480, and no one can say they need a bigger size. Also remember that the filesize of such large images can put dents in some peoples' internet costs, though luckily this only happens if all images are of such an obscenly large size. Toomai Glittershine ??? The SMASH-GINEER 00:24, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

I'll also tell you that threatening a user with empty threats, especially an admin who took disciplinary action against you, is never a good idea. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 00:56, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

Mediawiki can suspend your accounts permanetly. Maybe i can report the block issue to mediawiki and that one can remove it and your accounts will be penalized for it. If so then you will be banned forever from the whole entire site including wikia and all mediawiki products.--BrandondorfLemsdadhead.png 22:55, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
I'd like to point out that this is all about how you were blocked over something you were warned for. Warned for. It is your fault for breaking the rules and ignoring the ruling, not an admins. MegaTron1XD:p 23:10, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
I know but i checked out that DaNASCAT revoked rights because it was abuse.--BrandondorfLemsdadhead.png 00:21, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
DaNASCAT is nothing to do with this SmashWiki. He is a Wikia staff member and Wikia has no power here. MediaWiki will not respond to something like this and I don't think that there is anything they can do about it. If you don't like the admins and want them removed from power, you will need to find proof of power abuse. If you can't find this evidence, you know what you can do. Leave. Sorry about the harshness of this. You just need to be set straight. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 04:10, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
If you're using Microsoft Word and you write a document without using the style required by your teacher/boss/etc, then you'll get in trouble with them, not with Microsoft - who in fact couldn't care less. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Jiggy 00:05, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
Btw, it was DaNASCAT who was abusing powers when removing my rights. He was just looking for an excuse since I was anti-Wikia. That's why whenever anyone question him on how exactly I abused my powers, he could never respond. Please do some research before making slanderous, fallacious claims. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 09:33, 29 August 2011 (EDT)
And if you think I'm abusing my powers, please provide the links that prove it, rather than just claiming it. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 09:37, 29 August 2011 (EDT)

Have another warning.

Since you don't seem to get the idea, here's a warning in some concrete terms. If you upload an image that's more than 1000 pixels in size in either direction and it's clear we don't need the image to be that big, you will be blocked for being disruptive. Just because you increase the size of a picture in a program like Photoshop doesn't mean you're making it any better; in fact in pretty much all cases it makes it worse. Don't do it. No, but the fact that you continue to do so despite being told not to is disruptive. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Obfuscating 16:20, 29 August 2011 (EDT)

To elaborate on your request

I'll bring it here, so you can respond. Someone simply reverting you is not a reason to block them, let alone permaban them. That there would be power abuse, which you have claimed me of doing for blocking you when you blatantly ignore warnings and violated the Wiki's policies.

You seem to be a very self centered user, demanding the demotion of an admin for blocking you, while failing to recognise why you were blocked, then demanding the permabans of other users, for doing nothing more than reverting faulty edits you made. This Wiki will not bend to your will, and if you can't accept and respect the standards the community has set, you'll never work out as an editor here.

Btw, permabans are typically reserved here for vandal/spam/malicious sockpuppet accounts, and for the rare cases of extremely disruptive users who repeatedly commit offenses, while not learning and showing little to no care to improve the Wiki. So never demand them for another user. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 23:29, 29 August 2011 (EDT)

Hi

I've noticed that on at least one of your recent talk page posts, you responded to a post over a year old. As a general rule, do not reply to anything that has been posted over a month ago, as discussions that took place over a month ago are usually irrelevant now and posting in them just adds unnecessary stuff to Special:RecentChanges. And a reminder: Archive-your-talk page!... We're waiting... -[-=-]-Lucas-IV- An Enderman! Sh-SMACK! Lucas alive.PNG 06:25, 28 September 2011 (EDT)

Its going to be archived right now so i will make an archive. Just let me find a template and i will do it.--BrandondorfLemsdadhead.png 18:02, 28 September 2011 (EDT)
