2GGC: Midwest Mayhem Saga is an ongoing Super Smash Bros. for Wii U national tournament and the 2nd qualifier in the 2GG Championship Series. It will take place at the eSports Arena in Santa Ana, California on February 11th, 2017 and feature singles, doubles, as well as a SoCal vs Midwest Crew Battle.
True to its name, the event will be dedicated to the Midwest Mayhem tournament series (and the Midwest region in general) and will feature past Midwest Mayhem winners Zinoto, 6WX, and Ned, as well as other top players such as ZeRo, Larry Lurr, Tweek and Samsora. Three other Midwest-based tournaments; FTS: The WRECKpublic, Kingslayer 2, and Midwest Mayhem 7: Mexico Invasion; were qualifiers for this event; the top-placing Midwest player from each will be flown out to compete. In addition to this, the winner of a pre-registration raffle for Midwest Mayhem 7: Mexico Invasion will also be flown out to the event.
This tournament is also a qualifier for Midwest Mayhem 8: American Tour; the highest placing Southern Californian player will be flown out to the event.
