Living Room[1] (子犬がいるリビング, Living Room with Puppy) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
Overview
It takes place in a living room set in the Nintendogs universe. The main arena starts totally plain but some time later, building blocks will appear above the characters (if any characters are below them, they will be damaged) and then, they stacked up into various structures that can be stood on and some time later, they disappear starting the cycle again[2]. A television is in the background, displaying various allusions to multiple Nintendo games. Besides the blocks, other household objects can make random appearances on the stage, such as a high-heel or a toy mouse. Also in the background is a random puppy, ranging from a Beagle, to a toy poodle, to a Jack Russell, to a Yellow Labrador, or maybe even a young Tabby Cat. The order of appearance of these animals remains unclear, whether it is set or random, and it is unspecified if multiple animals can be seen within a single fight.
Origin
The stage is based on Nintendogs + Cats for the Nintendo 3DS. The room is particularly based off of the Country Home. There is also a dog bed and TV set in the background, purchasable in the game itself. The latter shows pics of cats and dogs wearing Mario, Luigi, and Toad hats using the same images as in the TV set in the Nintendogs game. All of the breeds of dogs are available in the series as a whole, while the cat only appears in Nintendogs + Cats. Each dog sometimes also plays with a toy purchasable in the Nintendogs game.
