Pound V was a Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl national tournament hosted in Arlington, Virginia, United States from February 19th-21st, 2011, hosted by Plank and TheTantalus. This tournament drew heavy criticism after the tournament director announced that he would be unable to pay out the winners of the tournament due to financial issues he came across when hosting it. $10000 of prize money was lost, and the incident stained the reputation of Plank and the Smash community.
